Feelin good. Canucks get a pair of points &, after 2 or 3 years of labouring & pining, I found the bottles of Twisted Tea I’ve been searching for. Just had to go to Chilliwack!

    Nice things!

It wasn’t an oil painting by any stretch, but this is a big win, and getting 3 out of 4 possible points in afternoon weekend games isn’t anything to be upset about. Demko was fantastic as per usual, and Hoglander, I think, has earned a permanent spot on the top six. Vancouver is now only 7 points behind the number of points they had last year.

  3. Thank you Jimothy Timothy and thank you McMichael

  4. ForceEconomy9988

Well that was certainly a much better ending than last game. When McMichael got behind the defense there I was thinking Deja Vu but Demmer was unreal tonight

Just name something in the Rogers arena with Demko already

  6. MasterChrom

Someone should’ve pummelled Walman after that penalty shot goal celly last game, smh. Unnecessary AF.

just gotta thank demko, made some HUGE saves for us this game

  8. Good test game for OT pressure, coming back when being down, and dealing with being tired after long back-to-backs.

With that win the Canucks are 20 points clear of 9th place.

Only watched from the last 10 mins of 3rd period. That was some fun hockey

do we need min 90 points to clinch playofff dpot?

  12. ProtoMan3

The most important result in a sports game today. What a win

Wish the Super Bowl matchup didn’t have two teams I hate lol

  13. phantomgiratina

How did Ethan bear look with the capitals today?

This narrative that Lindholm has been good defensively reminds me so much of the narrative around Horvat and OEL. Lindholm lacks effort and seems to lose the majority of puck battles he’s in. He’s gonna need to find another gear to play a meaningful top line role on this team. It’s good we got him early so he can adjust, and hopefully the rest of the team coming back to life will inspire him as well.

Am I the only one really not feeling mik? Feels like he just has absolutely no finish. Couldnt recieve a pass today when he was wide open in the slot, and almost always misses the net. Hes not been a defensive liability but hes pretty much just a floater out there.

  16. One thing I noticed is Lindholm taking a low % shot that resulted in an easy save and turnover. I think he’s getting used to our “hold onto the puck and pick our shots” game

Our streak of never losing more than two consecutive games remains alive!

It’s not a big deal, I know, but I love this about this team. Always bouncing back after a loss whether it does result in a W or an OT/SO loss.

I think we got lucky to win it in OT because our 3 on 3 looked badly disorganized and amateurish. Not only did we give up that breakaway again very early which Demko bailed us on, but they kept breaking out one guy with a pass, getting him into the o-zone, and then the other 2 guys changed and so he was left to battle 3 on 1, resulting in a turnover and loss of possession. We should be changing when we have possession safely behind our own net not in the middle of an offensive breakout.

Even when this team is at its worst it can win.

  20. How was Friedman’s play today? Did he look a bit rusty after not playing for a few months?

  21. Icy-Pomegranate-5644

That was a pretty classic Miller ending. Kinda bad game, nothing working, dead line, snipe to win it.

  22. Realistic_Ad7517

Good win but man. This teams needs to figure the power play out. Getting blanked on it 2 games in a row whilenalso letting in 4 sh goals in 4 games is a massive step back to what was already a struggling powerplay.

At this point its the teams biggest weakness, especially given the talent on our pp1. We have 2 of the best centres in the league, a 30 goal scorer and quinn hughes. With thode 4 guys you should be able to plop an ahl player in with them and still score, never mind fucking lindholm, and its still a problem.

Hopefully some practice time at home will help wven it out.

Does anyone know when the games played gap narrows between us and the Oilers? Of course, we’ve maintained our edge in points, despite their crazy streak, but I hate seeing that they always have ~5 games in hand.

  24. NikkahEff

Is it me or this team has played poorly for the past 5 games? today we were extremely lucky to get the win, the team couldn’t string a group of passes together and Myers and cole together looked like a complete shit show with Petey being totally invisible with everyone else besides that third line and hoggy. I hope the guys can figure it out soon, teams are gearing up and it almost feels like we’re taking a step backwards.
