    > Don Granato was fuming during his postgame press conference. The Sabres’ coach lamented a lack of “work ethic” and “compete level,” specifically in the offensive zone. They seemed to have the puck for most of the game, particularly the first and second periods, but again showed an unwillingness to get to the front of the net.

STFU Donny. Until you make changes on your bench and fire whoever is responsible for the god-awful power play, you don’t get to say shit about compete level.

    > Among Buffalo’s 34 shots on goal, only a few forced Blues rookie goalie Joel Hofer to make a challenging save. It was a stark difference from Tuesday night, when the Sabres were hounding the puck and creating chaos around Dallas’ net while peppering Jake Oettinger with 48 shots on goal in a 2-1 loss.

This is your dog shit system Donny. Even AHL goals can stand on their head against the Sabres when all you do is fire shots from the perimeter.

    > The Sabres rarely had traffic in front of the net while they outshot the Blues, 14-4, during the second period. An unwillingness to shoot caused their putrid power play to go 0 for 3. And, though the Sabres had their share of bad luck, none more maddening to their players than the puck being deflected to Jake Neighbours on St. Louis’ goal 12:53 into the game to make it 1-0, they also benefitted from some fortuitous bounces Saturday afternoon.

By design, a dog shit design.

    > The Sabres are a mystery in league circles. They are expected to trade at least one of their pending unrestricted free agents – teams are intrigued by defenseman Erik Johnson, in particular – but Adams also has a treasure chest of draft picks and prospects to add someone who can help this team long-term. He should make a seismic move to change the makeup of a roster that’s lacking the hard-nosed, do-whatever-it-takes to score mentality that’s seen in the Stanley Cup Playoffs each spring.

    > A top-six forward with term on their contract would bolster the forward group and fill the void created by Jack Quinn’s injury.

How about suggesting a coaching change as the seismic move, Lance? When the Bills offense was having issues there was plenty of talk about replacing Dorsey but with the Sabres, not so much.

I’m not sure how you can watch this team and think trading for a top 6 forward is the change we need. Just adding another talented forward to ruin at this point. Like adding more toppings to a shit pizza.

  3. Bc their top 6 is soft and no one goes to the net?

It’s a running theme when anyone outside of online Sabreland sees this team – they’re soft and unwilling to do what it takes to score consistently.
