I've been saying since i seen it happen live, Mo was completely justified in retaliating and had every right to be pissed off. Yes the cross check to the face automatically made it a little bit too much, but Greg saw him coming and instead of defending himself he completely turtled and droped like a sack of potatoes. Bottom line, Bettman hates Canadian teams. Another example is when Bunts was crosschecked in the upper back/neck in front of Pans net by Bennet , then again he crosschecked Bunts while down in the same area at the back of his neck, Bennet got nothing. Or when Bennet grabbed Knies from the back and slammed his face to the ice, took out Knies for a few games, Bennet went scott free.
Agree with both of you on Mo, 100% regarding the crosscheck going up because of Grieg's arm/shoulder rising and it lands in his lower neck/face region. NHL better let Mo go, no reason for further punishment. What a circus officiating is. As well, the refs basically won the game for Sens, like no penalty calls for our little rascal brother? He used a weapon to attack someone, and hit that person in the face. Because of hurt feelings, and completely outside of game play, in a game that was over. 10-ply. And Reilly should be careful come summer….snowflakes melt.

Hilarious listening to TO homers trying every twist they can think of to legitimize a cross check to the head because they know this possible suspension could really hurt them. Morgan let his frustration with refs coach teammates get better of him. Response was deserved but it was too extreme so suspension is deserved also. 3 games would match the crime but expect 6 as again the Leafs are used to set an example. No idea why any more than 5 games is warranted but it's the NHL so who knows what they will do.
I think it should be 2 or 3. But i truly expect it to be 7 or 8 given the NHL b.s.
