I miss him so much… 😪 I can’t wait for the next season to start already. Do you guys think that if he can play a full 82 games season next year he could be a PPG player? He also look so happy to be here in Montréal! 😇

i think dach has the potential to be a PPG player for sure. i’m just curious what the lines will look like next year – assuming our first line stays the same, maybe newhook on dach’s wing? who else would play on their line? anderson maybe, or is he reserved for the 3rd line? dvorak 3rd line centre and evans 4th line seems good to me

Pump the brakes on the PPG talks. He’s at a 0.47 PPG career average, his highest PPG in a season is 0.66 PPG, and he’ll be coming back after missing a whole season.

If he can reach 60 pts next season while staying healthy, it’ll be a good year for him.

if Dach ever plays 82 games, go buy a lottery ticket, or maybe 100

    Extremely unpopular opinion:

He’ll be back on the RW next season and HuGo will trade for a certified top 6 C this summer

I want him to do well, but he’s missing 80 games, half of the previous season and big parts of the previous seasons as well. He’s still developing despite his age. He’ll need to be sheltered to start so I would keep expectations low – kind of like Slaf this season. Hope for the best but understand that its a process. Maybe give him Slaf to work with.

I think not playing for a year will reduce his chances of hitting a ppg by a good margin but can he still hit 60-70 yes. Even if he starts slow and finishes the year with 40-50pts I wouldn’t be mad and I’d be patient jn letting him get back to 100%

What if he gets another season ending injury early in the next season? When do we give up on him as a viable 1st or 2nd line Centre?

  9. At this point, I don’t think any Hab will ever play all 82 games ever again…

  10. G_skins31

I think hoping he can keep his pace he was on before his injury is a good starting point. Hoping for anything more, especially a ppg, is pretty dumb

I don’t think next season, because I feel his development probably took a hit but he has the potential.

Having a real 2nd line will help the top line do better too. Suzuki having to do so much right now.

Dach, Newhook and need a skilled right winger!

To me the biggest question with Dach is not the difference between a 60 or 80 pts/yr player, but between a 5 or 80 Game/yr player.
If he’s really just been unlucky & stays pretty healthy then he’ll be a 2C. The alternative is he just isn’t able to stay healthy & that’s… not good.

His best season, so far, has been 38 pts. This is ridiculous. Let the kid do something before you shower him with projected praise. Unbelievable the way this fanbase works.

  15. If he’s healthy and play 82 games, the most he can have is about 70 points. That’s the best scenario.

And if I have to bet my house, then I’d go with 58 points.

  16. sandysanBAR

    No to playing 82 games
Maybe a PPG in the limited number of games he plays
Won’t move the needle much as a meh 2c

  17. thomasson94

Yes, but not gonna lie this entire season being injured will impact his potential a lot, let’s see how he rebounds from that

  18. commodore_stab1789

Who really knows how a player is going to bounce back from a season ending injury.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery.
