  1. That was a great fucking game. Heater starts now. Get yo Gato out

  2. Fuckin Mickey Mouse franchise that Arizone is, they’ve blown their 3rd period lead

  3. Batfleck666

The focus on defense has been great…but makes me wonder why the hell didn’t they make the change 2 months ago??

  4. squidonthebass

Keep this defensive structure and we may actually have a shot at playoffs. Good shit boyos.

  5. ginger_bier

Nice win. Didn’t even need to take my blood pressure.

  6. SIIB-ZERO

Allowing only 2 goals in the last 6.5 periods is a huge boost..better goaltending by both Vanecek and Daws plus a drastic change in the defense…..let’s keep it going tomorrow vs Nashville

  7. Sinister_Mr_19

Devils D changes are really working well, last game and this game has been excellent defensively and it’s allowing VV and Daws to be more relaxed in net. Love to see it.

Also Jack trademark shot off the mask goal is back!

  8. nostradamefrus

I said it before, I’ll say it again

    #WOOOOOOO

  9. Ever_Raiden

“When you get the saves it’s much easier to win” – Jack

    Vitek absolutely roasted

  10. TheRobberBar0n

Now that was a hockey game. Two great defensive games in a row. Keep the focus there, we’re going to score.

  11. TheNightRain68

Good win. Now please for the love of God, lets win tomorrow. CANNOT let any more points go. Gotta gain more ground.

  12. JerseyDvl

Hot take: giving up one goal a game is better than giving up five goals a game.

  13. Jack throwing some subconscious shade on Vitek there, phew.

  14. xxfatpigxx

The goal horn has been sounding extra crispy lately, like someone fixed the intonation on it and it’s perfectly in tune.

Anyway great win and it would be super cash money if they can carry this effort when I’m watching them live in Nashville tomorrow.

Reposting this for the Lindy apologists out there:

I’d like to point out that we could’ve been playing like this all season, all what needed to happen was for Lindy to modify and adjust his system. Could have done that at any point in the season, but he waited until after over 50 games had been played while the team struggled along.

  16. RakimWebster

Most complete game all year that I can think of. They looked strong and fast. Defensive structure was great most of the game and goaltending was solid.

Now can someone tell me why the devils were shaking hands with the ref at the end of the game? What did I miss

  17. dog_fantastic

Philly will never stop being a pain in the ass

  18. Hatakka has looked so solid since he’s been called up, really pleasant surprise.

The blue line future looks so damn promising

  19. Daws saved 1.29 goals above expected (per Natural Stat Trick), which gives him about 2 goals saved above expected in 10 starts. Barring a trade, he needs to be the main guy going forward.

  20. NoFearsNoTears

Solid game. I still think the PP is atrocious and needs to be mixed up a bit. Luke also needs to quit trying too much. I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing Nemec on the PP1.

Tomorrow is going to be difficult against the Preds. I think it’s bullshit that any team should have to play a back to back and have to travel in between the 2 games.

  21. Timo played well tonight. Really need him to string together a bunch of impactful games. Like him with Lazar and Mercer.

  22. pretzelogically

Hattaka had no idea what they were asking. I just play same game and try to do same things I do in AHL. LMFAO!!!

  23. IncreaseInVerbosity

I fully expected Santeri Hatakka to be a warm body to fill a depleted roster. He’s actually been really good over the first few games, thought he was one of the best Devils tonight. Meier’s best game in a while as well.

  24. pretzelogically

Damn folks we gotta appreciate how we are so young and raw. I love watching these kids grow. These guys need to start thinking fuck it man why not us? No pressure anymore just play.

  25. Nickster2042

Jack said “when we get the saves it’s easier to win”😂😂😂

  26. SoupySails37

I can’t tell you all how good a complete game effort with minor stress feels. That was really really nice. Now that again like 12 times in a row and hopefully we get back into it.

  27. Complete 60 minute effort tonight. Really impressive stuff

  28. reactiondelayed

Kraken is just a ridiculous name for a sports franchise.

  29. reactiondelayed

Really like Hatakka. Looks like he beefed a little bit too. Skates well, seems comfortable in all three zones, and not allergic to contact.

  30. That was a beautiful clinic, but I want to be sure everyone knows we also got *all* the puck luck tonight. We can play like this every night and not win more than 60% of our games. But. If we do, then we could, and that’s the amount of games we generally need to win. So. Nice. 😎

  31. Cum_on_doorknob

Wow, team defense two games in a row. I love it.

  32. TjamesS007

He already is showing so much but like,Simon Nemec is going to be so freaking good. I was just watching the replay of that cost to cost play and he doesn’t finish it off but it was so smooth!!! I can’t stop smiling now

  33. I really like this new look on D. It looked like they had an extra skater dropping down low in the defensive zone. It really limited the high danger chances against. Anytime Seattle had something going, it was quickly snuffed out. If this is how the last 30+ games are going to be, we can definitely go on a little run. Tomorrow is a big test. If they get the W, then I think this team goes on a streak. Detroit plays in Edmonton tmrw, if they lose and we get a W, we’re suddenly only 2 pts back of the wildcard.
