somebody pls dont let hak start him for 17 straight games now lol

  13. coyoteinapond

A goalie tandem of Gru and Joey is going to be soooooo sick

  14. Gruuu was absolutely on point tonight. Happy for him.

    GRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like it when both goalies play well. (edit: and by that I mean OUR goalies. Go Joey! Go Gru!)

  16. AwkwardestMe

Once I saw Tatar I knew it was gonna be a goal. He got that SAUCE

  17. Late_Invite1720

I can sleep good tonight! Beautiful win in the shootout Tatar! Go Kraken!!!

Either that hit knocked Matty back into shape or maybe the Athletic article gave him some mojo.

I wonder who starts the next game. At the start of the season, Hak seemed to just go off wins and losses. But that was before Joey really established himself as the starter. Does Gru get to try to keep this rolling, or has Joey earned himself the time in goal?

  20. jjbjeff22

Love this for Gru. First game back in over two months and wins a get right game in a shootout. Well needed win

  21. First-Radish727

That was good, honest, low event hockey. Way to go, Kraken!

  22. I love Grubi and it’s great to see him in the net in good form. Good to also see that Joey will get a rest and hopefully have the 2 ping pong to keep the pipes as safe as possible. That all being said, some of the credit for the win has to go to the D-line and the rest of the team for helping to protect him and re-learning how to aggressively check their man. Now if they can keep up that momentum, the next stretch won’t be such a slog.

  23. SuspiciousUsername88

Fuckin love Tatar’s summary of the shootout

  24. Havoc_XXI

Really really proud of Grubauer. Pretty amazing not playing for that long and come in to be that sharp in net! Very impressive. Happy he got the W. The boys looked great in the shootout, Tatar was an absolute beauty. Matty was close just a little fast / late on that backhand shovel but they both looked very confident.

Sorokin is so impressive, I hate it so much. That dude’s IQ / instincts are so inline it’s insane. Good game and…

    #GO KRAKEN!

  25. Marxbrosburner

Starting a new win streak! Time for that playoff push. GO KRAKEN!

  26. Nesterminator

Ok, so I guess nobody tell me when we’re playing. Watched last night, lost, then because of how hectic and shitty my day was, I forgot they played tonight, get the W.

  27. xSlippyFistx

I was honestly worried at the end of overtime thinking how it’s brutal to put Gru into that situation after all the time off. Then he stood in there and said “get that amateur shit outta here!” GG Gru, GG.
