As part of his day with the trophy, (former) Pittsburgh Penguin Nick Bonino brought the Stanley Cup to Avon Old Farms School, where he graduated in 2007, to share it with the public and to raise money for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Bonino and the Penguins won the Stanley Cup in consecutive years, 2016 and 2017.
