Yesterday the Nashville Predators announced that forward Phil Tomasino was reassigned to the Milwaukee Admirals. Many Predators fans are worried that Tomasino’s trajectory is eerily similar to that of former Predator Eeli Tolvanen who despite high expectations in Nashville ended up having success with the Seattle Kraken instead. Tomasino has great speed, stickhandling and playmaking abilities. Needs to beef up a bit in the offseason and play with some more grit. He'll finally breatk through next year.
Just another stupid move that proves, once again, despite Trotz and company, stating they would be focusing on developing young talent, they do this again. Just when the kid gets rolling after being another healthy scratch, they sit him yet again and this time they send him down to the minors. Can someone please tell me how, when he only gets 7 to 9 minutes of ice time when he does play, how is suppose to get better and how is this "developing younger players"? Hynes jerked him around the same way so is it any wonder this kid can't get on a roll? Sit, play, sit, play some more, sit again and now sent to the minors. Hasn't anyone noticed this kid can put the puck in the net??? Has he been given a fair shake, been used on the power play, given more ice time to let him grow and "develop"? No, of course not. He's been sat when his points total far exceed other players on the ice who have sat less. It makes zero sense but this is what I am learning about the Nashville Predators. Say one thing but do the complete opposite. Burnett said just recently Tomer has really improved his game and has been playing well. It makes zero sense. My hope is he is put on waivers and gets picked up by a team that will appreciate him, use him more, play him more so Nashville can see for themselves what they've done to this kid who must absolutely feel like the wind has been ripped out of his sails and then some.
