TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins SC with Jay Onrait to give his thoughts on Connor McDavid’s dominant six assist game, Morgan Rielly’s five-game suspension, Bobby McMann playing the role of the unsung hero in the Leafs’ win, who the Canucks MVP is so far this season, Phil Kessel working out with the Canucks, and much more.

It's Hughes but Demko's right behind him
Best team in the NHL all season long! Screw the haters!
Hughes by a long shot…not even close
It's hard to say, but at this point… Id say the mvp of the Vancouver Canucks is Phil the thrill Kessel.
It just seems like an extremely well built team.
Goalie: arguably best in league
Defenseman: Best in the league
Forwards: 3 in top scoring stats (G,A,PTS)
Coach: Jack Adam's winner
Management: Newly signed and fans are happy about it (where does anyone like their Management).
Doing everything possible through trades and now free agents in Kessel. Haven't lost 3 games in a row (crazy), every road trip is 6-1-1 or 3-1-1, 6 all stars (insanely crazy in this setup), best 3rd line in the league, and the ability to win offensively or defensively on any given night.
1:16 The only players faster to 600 assists than him are the Mt Rushmore players who played in the expansion era.
Hughes MVP. 3rd line MV3.
Connor is the best player in today's game but to be truly called 'great', he needs to win a cup.
Video starts at 4:48
McJesus had to make up the points for the shutout in LA😂
4 games jay 4 games.
Joshua
Nice bait and switch for canucks fans… make us watch oiler and leaf content. Nice…
As great as Sidney Crosby's career has been and as slowed down by injuries, particularly concussions, as it has been, Connor McDavid is the Gretzky of his era. In the 80s, with the exception of Mario, Wayne would regularly run away with the Art Ross. He didn't just win. He ran away with the award on a yearly basis. McDavid has been doing that. And for much of his career, he's done it without people the calibre of Jari Kurri, Glenn Anderson and others on his wings. Nobody has been this dominant (aside from this season) in terms of points since the Great One in the 80s.

Title the video-"Canucks" content Conner McDavid and Leafs. Spam
Aquilini listened
Is this a rhetorical question? Obviously Demko.
🎶🎶IT'S A HARD NUCKS LIFE with ROAR🎶🎶😉😉😁😁😜😜.
Quinn Hughes.
Hughes ability to dictate the flow of the game, skating ability to make room for himself or create opennings for his team is honestly on another level. His offence side is growing as well already carrer high in goals
Also with kessel, this roster lacks one very important thing. Playoff experience. Phil could fix some of that
Is Phil on the Abbotsford team yet or just he is in town ?
five games isnt enough. what a pathetic hockey player morgan is.
I'm sorry Craig but a 5 game suspension isn't preventing anyone from similar action. Maybe double digits would
As soon as I saw this video, I clicked on it instantly because I won't accept any other answer than Quinn Hughes. Taking over the captaincy, elevating his game to new heights, sometimes playing ridiculous minutes and never running out of gas. He's been the catalyst for the Canucks all season long.
I hope he does not win the Hart as he has no personality only for himself
Title of video: Who is the Canucks MVP? No mention of the Canucks until 5 minutes into the 8 minute video. But they did manage to talk about the Leafs for almost 5 minutes…
Super impressive that a team can have many players to debate who is the best for the team.
