A couple pieces??? Damn is he really throwing lindholm under the bus with that comment?? Don’t get me wrong lindholm obviously didn’t look like he wanted to be here, just suprised someone would say that
MonkeySailor
Pretty obvious from Lindholm’s alleged contract demands and his play all season he didn’t want to be here.
You can see the difference in Tanev, Markstrom, and Hanifin, who despite having their names in trade rumors all season long, are still playing hard.

The rest of that Coleman quote from the article:
“The guys that the noise is around, they’re competitors. They want to win here, they want to win wherever they are. They haven’t been a distraction at all.”
I think he’s talking specifically about Tanev, Hanifin and probably Markstrom here.

He may not have a letter, but he’s got one in my heart.
I never want them to draft another American, except Texans.

The following paragraph from the article:
> Mikael Backlund said last week that the Lindholm trade did play a role in taking away “some distraction” around the team. The captain acknowledged to The Athletic it’s been a “roller-coaster” seeing as much roster turnover — including key players departing — as the Flames have experienced since the summer of 2022 following a second-round playoff loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

Go figure. You get rid of the whiney bitches in the room and the mood lightens and guys start to enjoy things more. Also, I will add, and I know this is just being petty, haha, but I would love nothing more for this team to go on a heater and win a cup. All that didn’t want to be here can just watch from home and suck it.

Another distraction that was removed, and you’re not going to hear people talk about it, is Dube. While we don’t know how much other players knew, I could see rumors about him being a significant distraction. Beyond that, he was playing so poorly for the system, him leaving the team was addition through subtraction.

Facts. And just look at the way they are playing Now. It makes a difference.
