  1. Given what we know about Rick Tocchet's coaching style, I'm shocked that Phil Kessel is his type of player. Kessel seems very much like an older version of Kuzmenko. He has skill, but you're not going to see him hitting people, grinding it out in the corners or doing a lot of back checking.

  2. Pls no more griddy talk, you can celebrate a penalty shot goal in OT especially as a D man, like how often does a defenseman get the chance to finish a game like that, there is not gonna be any animosity from the Canucks based off that game winning goal celebration lol, annoying hearing all you media guys milk that story all week

  3. For me being a player I would take a pay cut or lower money to stay on a good team. Like for Joshua and Blueger I'm hoping they think my way. I'm hoping for maybe a 2 year contract at maybe 2 mil. each. they can always go for the money after that.

  4. Probably he will start with pettersson to get his confidence up and show what he's got. Or a Lafferty mikheyev Kessel speed 4th line.

  5. It's not even the trade deadline yet and the Canucks already have a three dimensional chess puzzle of free agency signings to figure out, but until then I'm just going to enjoy this season as much as possible.

  6. I think with Joshua being not even in the league before coming to Van, and then not even an everyday NHLer last year, he's only got 1 strong year of negotiating leverage. But him and Garland are the important part of that line, so I say try to get it done with Joshua. Let Blueger walk if he wants anything over 2M, and plug Suter into his spot. Suter was in that spot before Blueger was and they were still pretty good. I don't hate that as a solution to keep the cap under control.
