Stanky ass penguins. Yikes. Panthers knew they were going to win before they landed at the airport. Paul Maurice was more worried about chewing gum. All the new guys on the pens are probably begging Dubas to trade them. It was a nice practice session for the cats.
It's exactly what we are all thinking after tonight
i just feel dubas need to forget about this season just sell and focuse next season to fix all those holes like if they cant even win this moth even next moth wiould be hard to win
I couldnāt agree more and have been saying the same thing. I know people donāt wanna do it with Crosby still here but they are a bad team and you gotta sell now if you want any hope of making another run before Sid retires. Itās unlikely but if you donāt sell there is zero chance, but if you sell itās not good odds but itās at least better than zero.
In regards to the playoff hopes, Elvis has just left the building.
Flicks light switch, pulls the covers back, and heads off to dream of Noah Hanifin defending a Penguins playoff run
If the average fan can recognize the predictability of the PP and the lack of the threat it offers, how is reirdon still in charge of it? and how are no adjustments in approach made? And if sullivan cannot recognize that, he needs to go too. Its time to start selling assets. This is not a good team. There is zero chance that this team finishes winning 75% of the remaining games. These players have forced Dubas' hand. The bottom 6 not scoring? Malkin is a ghost as is smith. Other than the top line of sid-jake-rust, jarry and the top D pairing of letang/pettersson, everyone else has under performed.
Teams are using the Penguin's inefficiencies on the PP to their advantage. You can play rougher knowing the Penguins have a 95% chance of not capitalizing. Why wouldn't you challenge every goal the Penguins score?
My concerns with the early losses this season were for this exact reason. Age and the higher likelihood of injuries were going to be a bigger issue in the back half of the season, so stacking points early was essential.
Where do you go from here?
Thank you for a difficult but honest recap. Can't wait to hear your additional comments on tomorrow's post!
You sum it perfectly! It what it is, time to stop the bleeding like you said
you cant have a team this lifeless and keep the coaching.
Who is of value on this team, trade wise? Jake…..Ned……ummm…
