Players, execs vote for the NHL’s top 10 goalies; Igor at #4



Just more proof to show that Igor’s slump has been blown way out of proportion by our fanbase. Everyone in the league still knows he’s a top player.

    These could be the same players and execs who thought Price was the best goaltender of all time… so they might not be the best judges of goalies.

    Sort of insane they just left Markstrom completely out of the top 10.

    By many metrics he has been the best goalie this year…

    2. Vasilevskiy
    3. Demko
    4. Igor
    5. Sorokin
    6. Oettinger
    7. Saros
    8. Swayman
    9. Bobrovsky
    10. Ullmark

    I’d still put the top tier as: Vasy, Hellyebuck, Shesterkin, Sorokin.

    The next tier to me is: Oettinger, Markstrom, Demko, Bob and Saros

    I think Ullmark and Swayman are much more the result of what’s in front of them.

    Honestly pretty generous. Don’t get me wrong, Shesty has it in him to be god tier. But this year his consistency has been as bad as Georgiev’s when this sub was chasing him out with pitchforks.
