For all the shit this fanbase (and their sometimes vastly unrealistic expectations) gave him…I still loved the guy. He was entertaining. He gave us the absolute slowest breakaway in NHL history in the playoffs that time. Trotz was the one who put him on the first line, which was beyond ridiculous. It wasn’t uncle Leo’s fault that happened. It was “Saint Barry” that did that.
The grinder with mad music and language skills will always be fondly remembered by me. We’ve had heaps of worthless scrubs come and go over the years. Uncle Leo was better than 99.9% of them.
