What To Do With Logan Stanley & Ville Heinola

For what feels like decades now, the Winnipeg Jets and their two young defensemen have been at the forefront of drama within the community. The fan base is split in half, thinking that one of Heinola or Stanley is far superior to the other. In this video, I explain what I think the Jets may look at doing with both of these players now, and in the future.

  1. I’d like If Dillon would return to be on the 3rd pair maybe with a heinola next year. But he would have to sign for less then 2 mil

  2. Get Stanley the F out. Turnovers everywhere, unlucky bounces, unnecessary penalties. Just very undisciplined… Stanley was supposed to be buff 2.0, but he hasn't even been close…

  3. Personally, I don't think we're gonna win the cup this year seeing how stacked the Canucks are right now. I think we'll be in the 2nd round or WCF at best. That's okay though because we've made significant progress from last year. I think we should package Stanley, Heinola and a future pick for Travis Konecny or Jakob Chychrun by the deadline and maybe find a way to add Claude Giroux or Adam Henrique, Casey Middlestat and Casey DeSmith to replace LB and backup Helle in the off-season. I have a feeling we'll be a much better team and legit contenders next season.

  4. Look Winnipeg is doing what they always do falling off after the all-star break they don't need muck but stop trading away your future for a rental rental

  5. Personally i think Jets sign Dillion instead of demalo as I believe salmonson is gonna be morrisey partner next season..you need more then 1 guy that is willing to fight..ville might be the 6th d next season over Schmidt

  6. Hands-down Little Hiney is a better asset than Stanley. Stanley is a fucking boat anchor. Ville has some silky mitts and might draw some interest. Will soon see.

  7. Look, the gorilla in the room are the contracts for 88 and 4. That's 12 mil tied up for this year AND next. Buy out 88 and get a 2-3 D man, with size and big shot.

  8. Jets should let Ville ride Stanley into town. He could stick a feather in his cap and call it macaroni.

  9. Yep Package them up for Konecky Chevy g0tta know these guys are light weight? What keeping Ville out of NHL for three years and keeping Stanley as a bookend< don't make sense?

  10. Stanley runs around mugging people and throwing away the puck every chance he gets, shows how little he thinks of the chance he's being given. It's beyond cringe. If he was playing for the Wheat Kings you could say well, he just needs to tighten a few things up and work with his passing, skating, and defensive positioning. But at this level he just needs to not be on the ice. With all due respect, there are players in rec leagues around Winnipeg that wouldn't make the mistakes he's making. He's not even being counted on to do anything, just don't make stupid mistakes, and for whatever reason he goes out there and must have an ego the size of NY because he thinks gee why don't I just ruin the game.

  11. If they're not gonna have Villie in solid the next 2 years, then we may as well get good trade value for him.
As I've been saying over the last 4 weeks, let go Stanley, Perfetti and/or Iafallo, get Tanev & Laine.
I really like Iafallo, but unless he starts producing really good in the next couple weeks or so, we need to move players with volume to get loaded up now.

  12. I'm pretty sure they gave away their #1 pick because of their prospects. There's no way they're giving away prospects. They'll also hang onto Heinola as he's easy money next year after they win a Cup. My money is on Schmidt getting moved. He's not worth $5.5 million. He plays okay but he's terrified of getting hit in the corners. He'll give the puck away to avoid a hit. Not good enough for $5.5 million. But yes, Stanley is definitely getting traded at the deadline. He might go in a package with Schmidt to make room for a Tanev. I think he's got potential but not here. He's too disgruntled now. He's not good enough and doesn't want to be here.

  13. I think you keep Ville over Stan but keep both for the remainder of the year. If we want to go deep into the playoffs it will be useful to have depth D guys that have actually been in the system for years. Trade Stan over the offseason.

  14. Stanley 26 Henoila 22… I'd say there is still a chamce and a ceiling for 1 d man, and the Celing for the other has left long ago.

  15. Trade the kids and get someone that can actually put the puck in the net. In case anyone hasn't noticed they can't score goals, they are going nowhere quick if they can't score, that is the problem, not stopping goals.
