On this Episode I walk you through the process of converting my cargo trailer into a multi-function trailer. This is my version of a much more functional toy hauler that is built much tougher. Be sure to check out the links below for information and savings on products I used to build out my trailer.

I donât think I would have cut the stove hole in the roof, that material is so thin and moves so much with the sun I think youâll have problems keeping it from leaking. When you do the next trailer ( which you will đ) get a trailer with extra 6â or 12â of ceiling height, adds lots of overhead space and is a cheap upgrade.
Moble command center lol, would spray foamimg the whole trailer have been an option? Then using a vehicle sound deadening mat over top been an option?
Great build I also built one for enclosed trailer I have
Disco beds work great. I have 2 bunk sets for my trailer.
I put a Williams direct vent propane wall heater in the front v.
Itâs a great base camp set up for my family or friends. And it will still empty out nice to use the trailer for trailer things.
Very nice build can't wait to watch all of them. I've been wanting to do this…
Awesome job, fun project especially with your dad. There is vinyl flooring that looks like wood planking that would be a good water proof flooring.
I love this! Next project for me and the misses for sure! Keep us posted on more
Well bob the Builder Nice Idea's that's going to be very handy I can't wait to see the finished look. Stay gritty!!
Right on đ, I love that ur doing ur own build . We are ordering our cubic mini for our coach bus build , and for our sons RV as we embark in off grid living.
Love ur channel , can't wait to see how it all transforms . Cheers to making it ur own đ
A lot of my hunts, I sleep in a wall tent but I want to build out a cargo trailer to haul all my gear to camp and then use it as a cook trailer. That way I can lock out the critters, mice, squirrels and bears. I also haul quads for my hunts and I typically travel several days to get to my hunt locations. With the cargo trailer, I can pull over to some gravel pit, pull the quads out and sleep for the night on the way out. Your video come at the right time.
Bear Hunting Magazine has a article on do it yourself cargo trailer bear camp for solo hunter. Good read. Keep cost down. 8×16 cargo is big.
For someone that goes steep and deep to get away from hunters, I am surprised at this but like what you're doing!
Why not put the stove in the Vnose?

What hoodie is that that you're wearing at the beginning? Looks like a thick merino/acrylic material. Pretty sure Lampers is always wearing it too
Nice seeing some new content guysđ
Can't wait for another movie
Drop a trailer if you can.
Good luck this season.
I have a 9×16 shed insulated walls and ceiling, lumber bunks, 9' wall table, fridge, space heater, tv/dvd 4 slider cheap windows, .75" marine ply for the floor and a window mounted a/c. Tight as a tick, make you sweat in the winter, cool AF in the summer. I call it my Hooch. Landowner gave me the shed instead of hauling a camper down for turkey and whitetail season. Barn next to the Hooch has a barn full bath with shitter, sink and shower. All the creature comforts of home. My home away from home. Look forward to the completion of your build. It always makes it better when you do it yourself.
Looks good so far. I did spray foam around the edges before I pushed my foam boards in to get good tight seals. If you get some of the thin 1/8th foam tape to put over the metal ribs before you put the plywood back on it helps with thermal bridging more than you would think. The good german diesel heaters like webasto and arktronic are super efficient on fuel and super convient nice dry heat. Do not do a gas furnace they are super inefficient on fuel, finicky, dangerous, and propane is more of a pain to get fuel than just pumping a rotopak with diesel. Just my 2 cents but there is a reason diesel heaters are all the rage for van life, camper life, truckhouses, ect. especially here in AK. They are simply worth the thousand bucks.
Great build, Brian! I took Carrie and Travis through my set up in Pocatello. You'll need to ask them about it!
Cool, been thinking of doing this myself
How many Llamas can you fit in there? đ
Pretty cool build so far. I look forward to seeing more of this project in the future.
We have heard of Sam Soholt and the Public Land Bus đ and Van đ now we have Brian Call with the Public Land Trailer. Pretty sweet indeed đ
Pretty awesome đ
Looks legit. Canât wait to see where this project goes. Also need more Mark Livesay content!
It looks great
FOLLOWING. I listened to the podcast while training this morning and had to come check out the video. I did the same. The nice thing is it can be adapted to each hunt, sort of a work in progress. Up here in Canada I definitely second the diesel heater. They pump out incredible heat and can keep everything from freezing while youâre out hunting, especially your drinking water. I am going to change mine a bit this spring. I will frame a wall at the back of the trailer that will have a door and window. It will be the main door. It will allow for a 2â âporchâ that I can leave Jerry cans, flammables and anything that can stay outside. It will be wide enough for a small quad but not a s*s. then when I head out for the day I close the trailer doors and itâs immediately secure.
I put flip up bunk beds in mine so I can drive my quad in. LED lights in the roof with usb outlets in a few spots for charging and fans to blow the heat around.
I built a refrigerated trailer for hanging the game I take (I'm in the HVAC/R field). My next project trailer will be something similar to what you just built but larger. I want my refer unit up front, a toilet, shower and room for my side by side and gear. Your trailer is looking nice so far!!
Could you do a total cost out video on the build when youâre done too by chance? I did this to my 6×10 and have been thinking about selling it to get a bigger one but Iâd be interested to see what this all ran ya (roughly) when youâre wrapped up. Thanks!
Yo big dog. What happened to the bear hunt where someone got a cougar? Been waiting since the summer. What happened on that trip.? Stay safe God bless you and your families.
Solid Build. I like the wood stove. I converted my 2014 7×16 Cargo Trailer into my mobile hunting rig. One thing I did was build out a small kitchen in the nose of the trailer. Completed it with a small pantry (Cabinets) I bolted them up top and installed a counter space (width of the nose) to cook on. Underneath, I have additional storage for kitchen items. One thing that has been a game changer is running a power strip (24 inch) along the kitchen wall. I'm able to power radios, charge phones, anything electrical. I drilled a 3 inch diameter hole in the left corner and run my extension cord out the bottom to my Honda 2000 watt Generator that I have outside away from the trailer. Its worked very for all my power needs and lighting up the trailer. Another item that is a must have for early season hunts is a Magnetic Velcro Mesh Screen to cover your door when its warm outside and you want circulation inside the trailer. The Magnetic Velcro Mesh Door enables you to walk in and out with ease and keeps all the bugs out, but allowing the fresh air in. Super easy to install and super cheap!
Nice little stove! Do you have a fresh air inlet for it?
I bought a ice fishing hut propane stove. Works great!
Tuning in to follow!!!! I am freaking stocked to see how this turns out. I have all the same concerns with toy haulers and rvs. Itâs nice to have something Iâm not constantly worried about.
Looks good Brian! Can't wait to see the adventures you have in it.
Thanx
