In the last 24 seasons of St. Louis Blues hockey, only 2 players have put up 40+ assists in 3 consecutive seasons. Doug Weight (4 straight 02-07) and now Robert Thomas.

Well we all knew Robert Thomas was elite, but hear me out. Robby has a legit chance to be #2 the all time assist leader in blues history at the end of his contract (if he plays it all the way through and stays relatively healthy).

Currently Bernie Federko sits at #1 with 721. Robby is at 210 and is projected to be at 231 at the end of the season, so 490 away from Bernie at the end of the season. He’s got 7 seasons left so that’s 70 a season for 7 seasons to meet Bernie.

Okay, that might not happen. But he only needs 200 to pass Hull at 409. So that’s only 29 a season for the next 7 seasons, which he will easily do (knock on wood).

Imagine how good we will be if Dvorsky is a hit too

That’s impressive! So glad that Thomas is becoming the player we all expected and hoped for. He is certainly fun to watch, and I feel like he’s matured greatly as a hockey player in the past 2 years. I wonder if Kyrou will ever get there.

This is awesome but we have traded a lot of players before they could get that third season. – Adam Oates
