  1. So glad you're getting your shot, Travis! Good luck buddy, we've been impatiently waiting for you! Especially with Zaits out! Love watching you every time I go to Marlies games, and can't wait for you to make a bigger name for yourself up here, cement yourself. Whether they send you back down eventually or not, you're one of the faces for a long future here. Give it your all!

  2. Great moment been watching him since juniors. Started watching Barrie Colt's cause of McDavid but Travis always impressed me

  3. Grab hold and don't let go kid! We know what you're capable of. Chances are you'll make a few mistakes here and there, but ALWAYS keep your head high and learn from them. BEST OF LUCK !!! Go Leafs Go!!

  4. quick scouting report:

watched about 10-12 games hes a really good skater. good quickness, smooth. nice feel for the game, doesnt panic under pressure in his own zone. smart puck mover, makes the right, simple play doesnt force shit. accurate snapper. defensively, very chippy. gets under opponents skin, uses his stick like a menace. reminds me of duncan keith the way he abuses ppl with his stick along the boards. very competitive and fearless. imo he needs to tone it down abit, as he has a tendency of over doing his physicality and gets in penalty trouble. all in all a solid young player with a chance to be a real good no.3 dman. potential Gardiner replacement down the line

  5. Excellent interview from a composed young man. His true excitement of playing a game with Toronto is genuine and infectious. Opportunity knocks young master Dermott I believe you can make the most of it; cool and steady as she goes.

  6. The Leafs will take a good look at Dermott then decide if he is a future Leaf or if they need to trade for another D-man?

  7. I love they're adding more youth to the team, double love a local boy too! I like Carrick too, Marincin just doesn't have it. Come on Travis make yourself a place on the team, good luck!

  8. Seems like a real composed kid! Those nerves he was mentioning sure don't show here! Best of luck Travis, I hope you have a solid game tomorrow!

  9. Just the fact he's recognized for his hard work and good play with the Marlies is all part of the program. I don't expect too much if he does make it into the lineup, but it does speak to the Leafs having him on the radar.

  10. Cmon Travis – it's good news that you drove out Marincin – please make such a good statement as to oust Gardiner !
