Canucks news: training camp notes, predicting blue line pairings, likely Travis Hamonic contract



Finally, the Canucks are back on the ice!

On ice training camp opens today with the players separated into 2 groups.

Group A: Beagle, Benn, Boeser, Brisebois, DiPietro, Eriksson, Edler, Gadjovich, Graovac, Holtby, Lockwood, Miller, Motte, Pettersson, Rathbone, Sautner, Schmidt, Sutter, Virtanen, Woo

Group B: Baertschi, Bailey, Chatfield, Demko, Eliot, Gaudette, Hawryluk, Hoglander, Horvat, Hughes, Juolevi, Kielly, Lind, MacEwen, Michaelis, Myers, Pearson, Rafferty, Roussel, Teves

As well, I look at what Travis Hamonic’s contract might look like, and the blue line pairings the Canucks could roll with on opening night.

The 2020-2021 NHL season will start on January 13, 2021 and will see each team play 56 games, all within their division.

The divisions are:

North (Canadian Division): Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, Winnipeg Jets

West Division: Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, San Jose Sharks, St. Louis Blues, Vegas Golden Knights

Central Division: Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, Tampa Bay Lightning

East Division: Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals
