Boston fan here, I completely understand the entire league and community not liking Marchand for crap like this. Truthfully it's a disgrace that it keeps happening. You would hope someone would grow up eventually but like the rest of the US they just move incompetent people into leadership roles.
Far from the worst thing that has ever happen to an NHL player, but,.. even from the ice level I dunno how the refs didn't think this was worth two. They've been wrong before, if they were wrong here they could have lived with it. And if the league has any interest in cutting down on headshots, then this should be a suspension, but I doubt it will be a even a fine.
If you can crosscheck jn front of the net and along the boards, you can crosscheck everywhere else. I applaud the refs for their consistency and commitment to player safety.

DOPS: If we suspend him, he wouldn’t be a repeat offender because it’s been more than 18 months (5 of which are the off season) – so we could just suspend him for the 8th time in 12 years. Totally normal.
The last two games watch the calls and no calls against the kings. It’s not bad it’s awful. Five minute major right in front of Dan missed call. He jumps and throws his elbow in his face wtf are you watching refs?
Is that going to be a 5 game suspension like Gallagher? I mean, he’s a multi time offender so that should mean at least the same as him but it probably won’t be.
