Teams both of us back then before the season I had them ranked 14th in my power rankings and I tried to get them lower but that is as as low lower as in like was 15 16 17 18 I wanted them farther back because I just didn’t like that team and at first

It looked like I was really wrong about that through 25 games they were 165 and four they were basically a juggernaut that was rolling four lines wonderfully even though Pier Luke deis looked terrible on their team but then over the next 26 games they’ve gone 911 and six

They ranked 27th in goals scored per game 17th in goals allowed per game uh 14th the power play percentage and fourth and penalty penalty killing percentage which means the Special Teams aren’t really the problem it suggests the problems aren’t five on five they’re goal tending not terrible I mean it

Ranked 20th in team save percentage but it’s so it’s not good it’s not good but that doesn’t make up for all the issues they were having and the amount of games they were losing but altogether just a really bad stretch from them the pier Luke de trade looks like an absolute

Nightmare early on that’s he’s playing a ton of his time in the bottom six six and even with Byfield hitting his stride and looking like the real player that they thought he was going to be because he’s been real good lately this team’s been just a disaster over the past couple of

Months which is great for me because I hate the Kings I mean they’re like top three hated teams for me ah top five but for like a random West Coast team for me they’re just one of those teams I I love when when la king fans are panicking I

Love it I hate that team I you hear me say that a lot about a lot of teams but the kings are way up there in that one way up there I’m just a professional hater except for when it comes to my team which I want to be soft and gentle

Towards but boy all the things I said in the last video the Goodwill about we played right and it just didn’t go our way and the B bounces and we had a lead with under two minutes to go in this one H we had a power play and overtime

In this one I didn’t even care when we got when we got that power play and overtime I was just like I don’t even care if we win this one because I know we suck in overtime I just turns out I did care turns out I really did the

Disaster the top six got plowed all game actually for what it’s worth uh and did not score an even strength goal the entire game in a game where we scored four that’s right we lost a game where the power play scored a goal and then the bottom bottom six scored the other

Three goals and we lost that game not great either way the reason I don’t didn’t mind the Heinen jump up there because it gets Freddy back down on that third line which we had just talked about on the short shift pod uh and I think on the last episode

That jvr just needs somebody to get him the puck up front he needs a guy who’s battling harder than he is and winning more board battles to allow him to go to the net front where he gets to battle right and Freddy can be that guy for

Him it did work out that way it did so that you know and look I’ll backtrack for those of you who remember who was like I want Freddy in the top six it’s time the guy’s playing great I think I was wrong about that I think I need to

Take a step back and go you know what sometimes you get excited about a guy and you don’t realize how you’re affecting the other Lines by taking him away from there and if you’re underperforming on one line but that guy’s driving the absolute bust out of a third

Line that’s been dominant you got to keep him there you got to keep him there I don’t mind the attempt and the switching him up during the game mid game just for change of of the look but I think I was wrong about that and he he

Does need to stay down there to honestly help help those guys that can’t drive the line themselves got to be honest talking through this game sounds like such a chore right now just because I know the end result this is a tough pill to swallow this one especially CU puck

Drops that’s not fair some of you like that one puck drops puck drops and the Bruins start slow again through the first eight minutes we’re getting outshot by a billion we’re getting smoked in every corner battle we’re losing faceoffs it’s a mess and we can’t get over our own

Blue Line every time we do it goes right back the other way but 803 in it’s a Faceoff win and the Bruins get set up and shaton Kirk racks the puck around the boards now shaton Kirk through this portion of the game has been terrible just awful every decision he’s made has

Made no sense he’s had more turnovers and he has had clean passes and then I saw people crediting him for this play where he had the puck at the right point and and literally just sent it around the boards you could make that play I

Just want you to know that all right I don’t want to give chat Kirk any compliments this game whatsoever is how annoyed I am with that third pairing he wraps the puck around the boards jvr is there and he is going all of them and he is just going to have a

Clever little pass up to Freddy who’s to the right of the net and he’s going to hammer it on net and the save is made and the Kings collapse on Freddy and Freddy’s just fighting him off he’s going through the and no one sees the puck just SK her

Back to the right where jvr went to go get it and he gets to roof it over a sprawling ridit because all the kings players were too busy getting mauled by one Frederick it was beautiful goal scored one0 so you started like [ __ ] but hey you’re up a goal after8 minutes

Build on it and you do sort of and this will be a point of contention for some of you especially with how the game it was a oneg goal game with 8:30 on on the clock into the game we get it in deep again and this time it’s pasta in the

Right corner who is going to play Dipsy Doodle until he can get to the top of the right Circle and he’s going to spin and he’s going to fire and it’s going to beat rck far side it’s two Z but de Brusque was in the blue paint now here’s

The points I’ll concede Anderson moved him into the blue paint and the contact was minimal they review it for go tender interference the goal gets waved here’s why it’s the correct call and I’m not going to argue about inconsistencies I’m not going to argue with you about the

Refs suck at all the other portions because that’s not the point in a vacuum with this goal and the letter of the rule this was a right call it was just an extremely soft call because one de Brusque of his own valtion is trying to get out of the blue paint and avoid

Contact both of which he does attempt ridit tries to make the save moving right in his right right leg kicks out and makes contact with de Brusque wall debrusk is in the blue paint debrusk got to that particular spot on his own as he tries to get out

Of the blue paint and is and there’s contact with the goal tender that is something that is going to get the goal waved Almost 100% of the time if the refs are calling it by the rule and the refs screw this up all the time I know I don’t want to have the

Argument like but what about this call they got that one wrong right right like they’re bad I know they’re bad you can’t say that got called a goal this one didn’t because you’ll drive yourself insane technically by the letter of the law this was goener interference it technically impeded the goalie making a

Save just a bit do I think it actually had any effect on the goal no but that’s a judgment call at that point and if you want to argue that you can do it till you’re bleue in the face like I’m not going to I’m not going to argue with you

On it technically it was the right call it just sucks because that call couldn’t have been softer either way go Ender interference we’re going back to a one Zer lead rather than a two lead and then just a few minutes later about 9 minutes left of the period forbort has this much

Space why do I bring that up because forber opts for a blind around the back pass back the other way when he gets chased down which turns the puck over and then the kings are allowed to sit right back up this will be the first of four goals that the Kings would score

In regulation while forbort was on the ice and yes great Point good math the Kings only scored four goals in regulation you’re so you’re so good at this you’re getting it you’re picking it up you’re picking up what I’m putting down anyway the Kings keep the pressure

On they get the puck back to the right point it’s a slap shot from that right point but it bounces Around the Net perfectly to Roy who is just waiting on that left side and and from a z degree angle just Chucks it in on the net it

Goes off of Mark’s back as he hasn’t recovered to the other side yet it was really fast and it goes in the net good bounce for them bad bounce for us it’s 1-1 we’ll move on though Freddy and England fight right after the scrum right after it was a boring fight as

England just held him like here the whole time I don’t think he was very interested in actually fighting but it counts as a fight they threw a couple hits 5 minutes each and Freddy right now is up to assist and a fight you know what we’re looking for 737 left marshan

For interference we’re going to the PK we kill it all right good we kill it something to build off maybe 522 left Marian slashed by dowy we go to the power play and 7 seconds into the power play it’s a Faceoff win makoy skates to the right point he’s going to launch

This in on the net ridit makes a safe blocker side hits jvr right in his massive chin drops on his skate and he just flings it into the net past the stretched out R and he’s got two goals in the first period it’s a power play

Goal we have a power play goal and a killed penalty through the first period the Special Teams can they build on it no they can’t 49 seconds left Omar has to face down a Breakaway by arvidson and gets beat he’s far out of the net attacking it arvitson goes right around

Him but misses a nette wide on the follow through I don’t think Omar got a piece of this either way we’ll take it it’s 2-1 after one but the shots are 16 to8 in favor of the Kings Kings had been the better team for a huge portion of it

We had Pockets where we were the much better team but that’s a pretty kind of a rubber match in the first second period will start and 140 in 141 in Clark for delay a game after he launches the puck over the glass with his glove

We’re going to go to the power play no dice but it didn’t look terrible but no dice and then 541 in dowy puts pasta into the boards full numbers I understand why people would be upset about this kind of call because pasta’s going back and forth wiggling and

Wangling and kind of gets his like kind of spins at the last second either way it was full numbers into the boards we’re going to the power play no dice this one looked a little Shak year unfortunately and then with 657 left of the period the fourth line simplifies

And they get something going it’s Pucks in deep it starts with Rashard who gets it in deep after he takes the zone and Loco gets there and he has to ferociously fight off two different Kings Defenders he gets pinned in and this looked nasty this looked like a

Fight he manages to squeak the puck out to boquist who is there in support who goes through the legs no look to Rashard who got left all alone directly in front of ridit ridit gets a piece of it with his stick but it bounces over to Rashard

Who gets to roof it top blocker and it’s 3-1 that’s your two goal lead and the fourth line the fourth line extended that lead the third line got the first one the power play got the second one the fourth line got the third one this

Is a game you need to win you just you don’t get two goals from your bottom six and often enough this is a game you need to win with 322 left the Bruins turn turn the puck over in the neutral zone I have no idea why jvr doesn’t expect this

Pass his way I don’t know if he’s going for a change here or what but Grizz from our Zone just goes right by him little confusing it’s fine Kings go right back into our Zone the Kings go low to high they skate down the right side they turn

Around fling it up to the top of the slot where gabov just unloads a slap shot and as byfield’s coming across for the moving screen it actually times out that shaton Kirk’s the real screen right behind him goes off shaton Kirk’s back and Beats olark glove side hard to blame

Omar on a bounce like that it’s another good bounce for the Kings good for them it’s 3-2 we’ll move to the third with that now one goal lead and 556 in lafier gets the bounce it’s a transition for the Kings deis skates right around forart for the free Bid onar after a by

Field pass just literally goes right by him he collects his own rebound off the save and from the left side of the net just gets this to the front of net deflects off forbo deflects off off of olark leier is there to just swipe at it

And then it takes a weird path kind of sticks itself almost to olark skate and the skate moves into the net tie game just like that we’re 6 minutes into the third now look you can be frustrated we blew a two gold lead it’s a third period

This is when you go all right it’s hockey win this game though like this has been your game you got a two- goal lead don’t let this slip away all right you’ve already lost a lead finish this out strongly and they do respond with a really strong shift from the top six and

Then 712 in just a minute and a half after it’s the third line again jvr fed the puck as he’s waiting on the blue line on left side he takes the ozone and realizes the king’s structure has completely broken down as he has four guys on his side of the ice he just

Chucks this to geeki who almost has a breakaway he’s going right down Main Street but unfortunately a defenseman I think it’s gabov gets there quick enough to stick lift right when he’s about to shoot the puck trickles in on ridic who has to smack the puck away but he smacks

It right back up to Frederick trailing in that slot an absolute laser beam above the pad blocker side and it’s 4-3 and Trent Frederick has the Gordy how haty we’ve been waiting to say that about him in a for a little while this is the first of the season for him I

Believe 4-3 excellent you have the lead finish it out and 945 left chance for insurance two onone de Brusque and this just shows where some of these guys are it’s not just de Brusque but he’s one of them it’s a two-on-one and the defenseman’s covering pass the whole way

The whole way he’s giving de bruss that shot and de bruss forces the pass to Pasta doesn’t even get to Pasta I have no idea why you are a professional hockey player you’re a scorer like that’s what you are you’re a top six scorer or what you’re supposed

To be are you a highend guy you’re not like a superstar but you are supposed to be a top six guy shoot that puck even Marian would have shot that Puck and he loves to not shoot anyway we’re going to move on we still got the lead 940 left Marian gets

Arvidson directly in the chin with an elbow I only point it out because things got chipper from here and a fine wouldn’t be completely shocking especially given Marian’s history this didn’t seem like a enough to really go for a full suspension or anything like

For a clear he fails it what’s worse is Carlo is also on that side of the ice covering his man but not realizing that no one cycled to the front of the net neither of the forward penalty Killers realize that either so is this all on

Forbo absolutely not but he did fail a clearance again that led directly to a goal which is so fun either way the Pucket stopped at the left point they sent it directly in on cop all he has to do is tip this glove side glove side one

Of the sides it was it was blocker side it was glove side it was blocker side and it is 44 tie game 17 Power Play Goals given up in 17 games not great not great statistically right there and we’re going overtime you’d be forgiven for not having any

Faith in overtime you’d be forgiven for that because we are bad at it and I don’t care that we’re bad at it I care that we’re good at Five On Five hockey where we have a great goal differential that’s where I care about it but either way Midway through pasta is deaking

Through Clark for a chance on the net and he gets hooked so we get a power play and we don’t score on the 4 on three power play and as the power play is expiring pasta decides for a heavily contested cross slaught pass that is easily intercepted and immediately

Cleared to Clark who has all the time and space in the world speeds pastar and dunks it at your final 54 I understand being frustrated with pasta on this one totally get it he deserves his licks for that he does that kind of thing all the time I totally

Totally get that when I look at this game and this can be part of the game notes it is part of the game notes shaton Kirk was on the ice for two goals against in regulation and was abysmal during most of this forbort was on the ice for four of them

Because he’s on the penalty kill he how do I how do I talk about this without saying the same thing I’ve said over and over again we always talk about the cap space issue we have no cap you save like $1.1 Million by sending him to Providence you save 3 million if some

Team is stupid enough to claim him off waivers he’s a net negative player and I don’t care that there analytics out there that are like hey defensively he’s great he’s not great defensively I don’t I’ve watched the guy way too long to believe that and I love analytics I love

The numbers and there are some I mean Dom Lucan of the athletic has him like a plus eight defensively on his player card which is really good he blocks a bunch of shots sometimes he’s so unbelievably bad in every Zone I just I can’t possibly believe that he is a net positive player

And you could clear $1.1 million just by sending him to Providence to call up a different defenseman right or just slot water spoon there and have that 1.1 to work with at the trade deadline I don’t know you just don’t need this guy up here and shaton Kirk shouldn’t get a pass either

He’s been terrible there’s no way a laui wat spoon pairing is worse than this if you call them up and you and they’re just as bad fine I can live with that I can 100% live with that and go oh [ __ ] I guess we’ll just interchange these guys

There’s no way on God’s green earth that they are they are worse there’s just no way I I refuse to believe it the third pair isn’t the only problem the teams having but tonight that pair lost us this hockey game through multiple turnovers that led directly to

Goals I just don’t get it I would send him down to Providence or at least send him through waivers immediately and just see if a team claimed him but they love him I don’t know why I don’t know why I I don’t get it as for the other stuff

The penalty kill is still abysmal I don’t I don’t know exactly what the fix is there right now it feels like they they tinkered with it a little bit and they’re having guys Chase more often rather than contain and it’s not working I I think I need to do more work

And watch a lot more tape to really figure out how to fix that because some of it feels like legitimate bad luck but it’s been going on for months that this power play has been terrible so I’m not going to sit here and say it’s just bad

Luck and the last game note is the top six is so incomplete we’ve talked about this but whether it’s Heinen or jvr or geeky or whoever you’re throwing up there it’s not a top six guy and I know I know people dislike de Brusque I do

Believe debrusk is a second liner I do uh so I just I really want just one more guy in the top six one more that truly belongs there and we don’t have them on the team we might have one down in Providence but that’s that’s a stretch right now

Too it’s just so incomplete if we had more cap space god this trade deadline would be so so exciting interested to see how it goes but the top six get caved for most of this game just truly outplayed not good and not good enough this team’s got to shake out of it

They’re still in a great position all that crap but this has not been good enough and everybody in that locker room knows it’s not been good enough and I don’t think after this one Monty’s going to sit there and say I like a lot of

What I saw you can like some of what you saw from the bottom six but if your bottom six scores three goals and your power play tacks in on Fourth you have to win that game but your top six did nothing on five on five play and your bottom pairing defenseman completely

[ __ ] it andark wasn’t as sharp as he could have been that I’ll give you brutal brutal I hope this doesn’t actually end up being a 32-minute video I hope that gets edited down I love this team I believe in this team I think we have the Personnel to

Get it done and I believe we have the Personnel to to be a pain in the ass out in the playoffs which is what we were looking for this season we could go on a run we could things have to go right but I believe in that I believe in this

Team this has been a real frustrating stretch and letting this one go someone said it and I can’t remember who but it felt like you needed this game and you had a two-goal leading it and you lost that’s unacceptable not good enough but hey we love our Bruins they
