No they're not! This year is a write off to allow their players to mature some more.
The last thing Toronto needs to do is throw away more assets for pure rentals. They have tried this ill-fated plan too many times during the Dubas (Dumbass) era and it DID NOT WORK. All it has done is depleted the ranks and draft picks. The Leafs should be looking to do what Francis has planned and getting rid of some of their own UFAs … This team is a long ways away from being a true contender. The moves in the past off-season were all duds.

The Leafs need Eberle about as much as they need Domi, Bertuzzi and Reaves. They need to build the D if they want to contend.
