So we should start cheering for them at the end of the first down 2-0

  2. Meh. There was love in that building at the beginning of the year while they were digging a deep hole for about the 8th season in a row. They’ve earned every boo they’ve gotten.

Didn’t realize we could just love the team into the playoffs.

    Holy shit guys, problem solved!

He has a point. Not saying there isn’t a time and place for booing but there’s a lot of idiots in the arena who boo/heckle for stupid shit. An entire group in my section was giving it to Tage the game he hurt his wrist and tried to play on. I got no time for those “fans”.

How does this explain why they also suck on the road?

“Immediately” is doing an immense amount of heavy lifting there.

Need I remind you or anyone that they gave UPLs job to Comrie to start the season based on PRESEASON performance. An idiotic coaching decision.

Need I remind anyone else that the idiotic three goalie rotations was a joint failure of Adams and Granato to manage the situation effectively.

UPL, or Levi for that matter, would have improved significantly with more regular starts, and in fact BOTH HAVE.

We’re right to boo when they do things so on their face stupid that even Gary from Cheektowaga who calls into WGR can easily identify that the coach and GM are doing and have done things which are WEIRD and DETRIMENTAL to the team’s success and the development of their own players.

UPL didn’t IMMEDIATELY do anything, anyone who has watched this shit product for the last three years knew he had the ability, he just wasn’t being given the opportunity.

The only thing that needs to be said is that the majority of booing and Fire Donny were at a 9 goal beat down by the worst team in the conference.

It’s not like fans were being assholes for the sake of it. The cause and effect could not be clearer, and it hurt some of the players’ feelings enough to be petty.

Don’t want to get booed? Come ready to play at home and skate like you mean it. We, like most hockey fans, can literally see when you coast. Finish checks, skate hard, stop on pucks, stick up for each other.

For what it’s worth, that’s what Donny talks about every single press conference: compete. I personally don’t boo him, I boo the players.
