Listen guys, this was super disappointing and downright embarrassing. But that’s just one game. There were tons of positives – I got to go to one of the most exciting live games and enjoy it with my 72 year old father. Dobson is still on an offensive roll and even if his blunder cost us the game, we got a point out of it.
Standings aren’t bad – we are 2 games out of a wildcard and only 2 teams to jump. We are 2.5 back of the lightning with 2 games in hand. There are tons of teams worse than us and these OTL could be the difference maker. We clearly have work to do with blown leads but last season we barely even had leads. I still love these boys in Blue and Orange (except Mayfield). And I’ll die on a hill for these Isles. I notice a lot of younger fans at games and on here, and trust me it can be MUCH worse. Only 13 years ago we were the most laughable organization in the league and we’ve had 2 conference finals appearances since then. Let the Rangers talk their trash. We’ve accomplished the same amount in the last 30 years.

What’s lost in all this is the great day of pure old time hockey we all had.
The experience was great. I had a great day out with my son. I just felt like my balloon was deflated at the end
Glad you had a blast with your father! Its true, sometimes we cant see the forest for the trees with regards to games.
