The cut-off must be Hamilton. Seems like a really dumb move.

WTF
EntertainingTuesday
I really don’t get how cutting people off from watching the team they support, or trying to watch new teams, helps grow the sport.

That’s such bullshit
mrb2409
Is there a press release for this?

It’s like they want us to pirate
I used to think that piracy would push these companies to provide a better service
Ffs just have all hockey games on 1 platform for like 20 bucks a month
There are 2 billion hockey fans in existence
If even 500 million paid the service that’s 10 billion a year in streaming revenue And it would probably spread
What more do these guys want

“This way they can go watch the game irl instead of watching it virtually and bring business to the venue and team!”
Well maybe I would if the price of a ticket wasn’t several times higher at minimum than what I could justify for a consumable experience. This is just plain dumb, blackouts do nothing but force people to pirate or stop supporting your team. Also, It should never be cheaper to fly to a completely different country/province to watch a game than walking to the arena actually in your neighbourhood lol

Riddle me this. I live in Vancouver. If Canucks are on, Leafs will be blacked out 100%. Yet I can watch Islanders play Anaheim no problem. Can this be anything other than spite by the league?

Leafs Fans in the Hammer now hate the Sabres (pronounced “Saw-brays”) even more.

I know an Israeli guy in NYC who links me up with all the channels. Had access to every NHL game for the past 5 years.
B0_SSMAN
and they get mad at illegal streams lmao

Weird seeing Pembroke on the map this size. I have a ton of family there
Scazzz
At this point there’s no point even being coy about it. Just pirate this shit. Screw the league and the partners. This shit is dumb.
In the UK I could sub to a single package and get every football game from the premier league, the divisions under it and most of European leagues like Bundsliga, Serie A etc. The greed here is insane.
mckeenmachine
I’m in a facebook group that streams every single game. DM me if interested
randomidkokbye
That’s an odd choice. Wonder why

Belleville keeps moving west apparently.

My streams are never blacked out. Price is right too

NHL should try making money on ads/commercials, this makes them look like clowns.
A good number of people who can’t see their team will probably watch whatever else is on.
Drew_You_To_91
I’m not the brightest, so if I’m away at school in the Niagara region but using the Bell app to access cable tv through my parents network back in the GTA will I still be able to watch all Leaf games? Also is this effective immediately?
Heisenberger6
Sounds like they’re asking us to find other ways to watch the game 😉
