The New York Rangers former 1st overall pick Alexis Lafreniere hasn’t quite lived up to the expectations of being a first overall pick for one reason or another. Last season we say Lafreniere take a step up in his overall game and he’s done that again this season which is great to see for the young 22 year old.

You love to see it , I've been a huge laf hater but he's done what I wanted show me that you understand you are blowing it, he's showing passion something my man Kakko just hasn't found.
I think heāll be a 60-70 point player with a decent physical edge and ability to get under players skin. Just my take though
Just imagine two years from now with some more top line experience and 1āst power play. I think he could very likely be between a point per game player. Which is always taken VERY much for granted. Just think what couldāve been with a healthy Fil centering Laffy and a more productive Kakko. Wouldnāt be surprised if they send Kakko to Anaheim though. Might be exactly what he needs a seriously rebuilding team along side Carlson and Cutter and Zegras. Could be a good fit if it doesnāt work out here
In case anyone remembers Chris krieder never had more than 30 goals in a season until 21-22 season with 52 goals. Some players take longer to develop but when they do there really good
Worst + – on the team, and lowest point total on his line. Without those line mates, Panarin and Trockek, he'd have under 20 points, maybe 30 for the season. If he were a 3rd round pick, I'd be easier on him.

I wouldnāt be surprised if he hits 100 once or twice in his career. Once he gets to PP1.
he is on pace for only marginally more points than he scored last year despite (1) playing way more minutes; and (2) playing with one of the leagues best playmakers.
the fact that his increase in scoring is so slight given those two things should be cause for concern, not celebration. he still looks fairly lackluster – far from "amazing"
I think Laff for sure can be a consistent point per game guy when heās in his prime especially down the road when he will be on that top PP consistently still so young and heās literally progressed every year since coming into the league this is like his first consistent season and he will most likely have 50-55 points everyone needs to just lay off him now heās proving he can be a very good top 6 player and if a 1st overall pick becomes a consistent top line guy thatās a win to me
He's been playing great. He seems to hit a post/crossbar every game, too.
I think he will keep improving.
Laffy finally has a coach who has him playing more on a line that works for him.
And yet they were looking to trade him before the season. Like stamkos it took him a few years to get going.
No one gets robbed more than Lafffy. If he netted a 3rd of the chances he gets he could be a 40 goal scorer.
