  1. Great video as always and an interesting intellectual problem. I also don't think an offer sheet is likely. Seattle would be the most likely to pull it off of the ones listed, not just as he'd be closer to home but allowing for their situation (and having Larsson educate them on the dynamo he can be). I think Yamo likes it here. I know he likes playing with Leon and Nuge. Finding linemates you mesh with isn't as easy as many think. It takes time and understanding. If it does happen and it's two million or less no issue for a match, beyond that, yes, problematic but still possible. I don't think another GM would want to risk it for Yamo (and understanding absolutely no one would trust them for doing it (respect them, maybe, trust, not a hope)). Have a great one all…

  2. He's not getting an offer sheet.

And if he does AND he signs it, peace out. He doesn't want to be here. And if the size of the offer is be too large for the Oil to pay, then you let him walk because he'll be massively overpaid. Keep in mind who he's playing with when he plays well. Anyone can score points when you have them as centers. GMs will know this and know his numbers on their team won't be the same as his with the Oil.

  3. Seattle will not sacrifice draft picks given they barely have more than one draft’s worth of prospects in their system right now.

  4. Unless there is a really great alternative out there, The Oil will give him an above market value offer. I don't see them overpaying much here as he's not a key piece to the team. We can justify a small overpay on a short contract because 1) His 19-20 breakout season is still fresh in our memories, and 2) Yamos play style fits in well with the high end talent on The Oil leading to a promise of big points production. You cannot justify a large overpay because 1) last season was only mediocre for him, and 2) you could get a bigger player with more physical presence instead of Yamo, giving more flexibility in the lineup. We saw it in the playoffs, Yamo cannot just be added to a line – when they see him coming they just hit him or rub him out. To be truly effective he needs to be with other threats, like Draisaitl and RNH. That way he is not center of attention on the ice and can jump on those lose pucks and rebounds.

  5. I don't think he'll get an offer sheet… He's good, but I don't think he's at the level where it's worth putting a sour taste in the Oilers mouths, and risking revenge like Carolina did with Montreal. Teams don't forget… Carolina didn't and neither would Edmonton.

  6. If another team offered him 2.5 – 3 mill it's possible he'd sign it. Let's hope it doesn't happen. It's much better to have Yamamoto than a 2nd round pick at this stage, during our win-now mode. Let's hope Killer signs soon. I think he's gonna have a nice bounce back year.

  7. sure hope we don't loose him hes got lots of heart and is a pretty good complement to leon but if he wants to chase the bag over playing here I say let him go unfortunately anything above 3 mill I think is just not worth it. we didnt get to see him shine a whole lot last year with tippit breaking up our league best second line so maybe we should get him a little cheaper but I don't see him getting more than what Ethan bear got. no clue what's taking so long tho hes not a good enough player to get a offer sheet in my opinion but hey anything can happen. thanks for keeping up updated fanatic keep up all the hard work sorry I missed yesterday haha

  8. Good points in the video, but I don't expect OS for Yamo, cuz of his low pts, position – not centre & size

  9. To be honest I’d like to see a bigger winger alongside RNH and Draisaitl. Yamo is just 5’8” and approx 155lb.
