Tanev can be signed as an FA fairly easily I’d say due to other interested teams like Ottawa not being playoff teams, Tanev’s own suitors might be few, past Toronto and Vancouver
A stud goalie could cover up for a lot, like when we had Cujo. But that’s a big wish
I don't completely understand why Toronto is such an underdog and Edmonton is Canada's cup favourite. I know they have McDavid and Draisaitl, but they have an iffy defense core and a goalie that did not play great in last year's playoffs.
leafs needs more scoring depth, better defense and goaltending, they need mental change because they play soft, not playoff hockey (playing dirty dosent mean they play hard). Even if leafs would get all these 5 players, they wont win stanley cup because they play wrong kinda of hockey😁

Actually the Leafs have close to zero chance of winning a cup because they are a Canadian Team. A Canadian Team hasn't won the cup since Gary Buttman became commissioner over 30 years ago. In a fair league this would be statistically impossible.
