Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

  1. Looks like a knock-off of the old Spalding Executive XE set. Not new at all, just another version of something that was tried once before.

  2. I use iron covers. I protect my clubs. I've used the AP2s since the last release and they still look brand new. My previous set of Mizuno blades were beat to death after 6 months in my bag from them clanging together on the cart. Don't listen to the haters, protect your equipment and it will reward you.

  3. great clubs, as you say, a "lacquer" finish to help with scratch resistance would help, or use brass, bronze, or other metals more suited to this treatment. Yes, good point, it is the 'fit' of the clubs action to the golfer that matters, not the styling, so go with what makes your game better.

  4. In an Augusta golf bag…probably…but not the first to play a full set of hybrids. Been using mine for over 6 months now and love them. Mine are not Wazaki but are i-Drive Hybrid Heads. I built the clubs myself (been building/repairing clubs for more then 30 yrs) using FGS Vision Iron Shafts from Diamond Tour Golf. I'm 65 yrs old and lost over 15 yrds using my irons, as well as control, until I changed to these. I have recovered the 15 yds and am pin seeking now. They are much easier to hit than irons. Love my "Lob" wedge. Hit it as long as my old Approach wedge. I am enjoying your videos from South Carolina in the US. Keep up the good work.

  5. I played with an older gentleman once who had a full set of hybrids. His were all numbered 4 to 11. He told me he got them after having shoulder surgery because he didn't have the strength to use irons anymore.

  6. I use a set of hybrids, but they only go down to #7. 8,9 iron and wedges are standard clubs. Much better out of sand and around the green.
