On February 22, 1989, the Kings acquired Kelly Hrudey from the Islanders for Mark Fitzpatrick, Wayne McBean, and Doug Crossman. Hrudey ranks third all-time in wins by a Kings goaltender (145), and holds the team record for most saves in a season (1,991 in 1993-94).
