  1. This would be dumbest move Staios could make. What, exactly, would getting Karlie achieve? The Sens have 3 offencive defencemen already. The Team scores a lot of goals they need to DEFEND…something Karlie could NEVER do. Nor did Karlie care if the Team lost…he doesn't go into the corners and is S9FT in his own end. What has AlFredo done behind the bench…the PP is one of the worst in the LEAGUE. Lastly, he is not a TEAM PLAYER…Karlie only cares about Karlie.

  2. i mean i’d love to see the move but this would effectively mean the end of the big core of players, i mean dubas said karlsson is apart of that core so i don’t understand why he’d trade him. i was watching the podcast and that’s what was said. just makes me confused.

  3. Bring EK home!
Yeah the price won't be cheap, but this is EK, and on top of that, the sens could use a RHD so I'm sure there is a way to make this deal work.

I suspect they'd want Chabot, which is a huge loss for the Sens, but makes sense. I think to smooth this over more and balance the cap, Kubalik can go to Pitt to give them a bit of depth and possibly a player like Rourke Chartier, who is a good enough mid aged vet to give you quality defensive minutes in the NHL.

The other way to go with this may be looking at the major depth of forwards that the sens have. It is possible that a player like Norris would be a good flip, though again I'd be sad to see him go. However, shaking things up in Ott and Pitt is a good idea, so something like this could work for both teams.
