The beatings will continue until morale improves

  2. This organization is manic. 4 months ago it was ‘we are in this for the long haul’, today its ‘not going to work over the long haul’.

Make up your mind and solidify your message.

Just a thought, maybe this is why you don’t doom and gloom all summer (trade away PLD, get rid of wheeler, rumours swirling about Helle and Scheifele), and expect anything but disappointed fans when people are already staring at expenses and looking for something to cut.

I’d bet a good chunk of money that if they extended Hellebuyck in July, no one would be talking.

  4. It’s not fear mongering unfortunately. Better attendance and other forms of revenue (corporate boxes, TV, adverts, food, etc) are what keeps professional sports teams alive for the long-term. Help from govt entities may patch a small hole, but it is temporary. A billionaire provides start-up capital for good ideas and funds community improvements, but there are limits and he has choices. The CAD-USD exchange rate and increase in salary cap next year are also problematic. Fan demanding a better experience, lower prices, etc. before attending are playing with fire, with regard to our beloved team. Hoping the Winnipeg Jets are supported by the community and built for the long-term.

God damn this article reads like it was written by a 9th grade blogger

I hope they specified business season ticket attendance because that’s where they lag behind everyone else. .

    Nah, threaten the fans again

Oh well we tried. Love the Jets but what can you do. I’m not buying season tickets anymore. Venue is boring compared to Blue Bombers games and costs too much now that I have a family.

A poorly written fear mongering article is not going to change much when groceries and housing have become so expensive. I can’t afford $430+ just to take my family to a hockey game. It’s simply just not in the budget for many people these days. We go to Moose games instead for 1/10th the price of Jets games.

Why isn’t corporate Winnipeg pulling their weight?

Fucking says Betman might address fans at the game!? Wtf he gonna say, “you better come to games or I’m taking them away asap.”

What are the prices like to attend a game in Winnipeg?
