What he said is correct. We did not have an answer to the physical play by Florida last year. Svech answered that bill with interest paid. It was great hit. Unfortunate that Tkachuk aggravated his previous injury.

Tripp Tracy wishing an injury on someone is like Elon Musk deciding to abandon everything and become a simple farmer. Never gonna happen.

  3. Anyone who listens to Tripp regularly knows how much love he has for the game, the players, and how many friends he has at every other arena both on the ice and in the offices. He has huge respect for even the nastiest, rattiest of players because of his love for the game. His heart is gold and anyone who says otherwise just simply doesn’t know him

I think the fact that Tripp even had to say anything is ridiculous. It’s obvious as hell that he was talking about the hit itself and Svech’s willingness to bring such a physical play right to the doorstep of one of the most physical players in the league. As much as I dislike the guy, it’s unfortunate that Tkachuk picked up an injury off the play. As polarizing as he is, the NHL is a better league when he’s playing.

Meanwhile last night, broadcasters and fans alike celebrated [Trouba’s hit on Bastian](https://twitter.com/GinoHard_/status/1760840246755819560?t=XNYsh3YCeD-6_l8K6JHk8A&s=19) despite the fact the guy had literally just come back from the locker room from another hit. “Clean hit,” they said. But from the angle, Trouba looks like he’s nowhere near Bastian on the play and literally jumps in order to make the hit. But it’s all well and good celebrating one of the dirtiest players in the league making a questionable hit on a guy that suffered a headshot earlier in the game because “he plays hard/old school.” Meanwhile Svech makes an Ovi-style hit and it’s “he just came back from injury what the hell that’s messed up!” Or don’t even get me started on Aho apparently getting blamed for Adam Fox literally changing his path and skating into him.

We make some boneheaded plays sometimes but our guys know and are pretty apologetic when it happens. But it’s like every bigger market fanbase in the league goes out of their way to grasp at straws to call us dirty and it’s just annoying at this point.

Tkachuk and his brother are two of the most notorious dirty players in the league. Sometimes, karma bites you in the ass, and those two have had it coming. Not celebrating a potential injury, but if anyone would ever deserve it…he’s up there.

Let that be a lesson to everyone:

    NEVER fuck with Tripp Tracy

  7. Let’s go, Tripper. I’m glad he didn’t just apologize for how his words could’ve been / were taken by some.

What did he even say lol? Had to watch the game on mute because I was in a MS Teams meeting the entire time
