Anton Lundell scored in overtime to lead Florida to its sixth straight win.
Florida had a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour before Ottawa scored two early in the third to the the score. Sergei Bobrovsky got the win.
The Panthers play host to Brady Tkachuk and the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night in Sunrise.
Florida will try and tie an NHL record with its 12th straight road win on Thursday against the host Carolina Hurricanes.
The Panthers have not lost on the road since visiting Calgary on Dec. 18; the road streak started in Tampa on Dec. 27.
