People expected playoffs and a cup win within a couple years. Sorry it doesn't happen that way. Starting from the mess left by Holland most true fans knew the first few years were going to be rough. That first draft when Yzerman picked up Seider… that was the start of the "wtf" comments. Considering where we were, he's built a competitive team. People can't criticize someone who was taught by Jimmy D (yes Ken Holland too), built a contender in Tampa etc. Greatness takes time and patience which is hard to come by in Fandom today.
