Which player(s) were upset about Bones publicly criticizing? I get it, but at the same time I was grateful that his ONE remark he actually let slip reflected the fans’ disgust with the lack of pushback in the playoffs against Vegas. It sounded like someone had made the excuse “their players are just better than ours” and he wasn’t having it. Anyway, I’m pretty happy with Bones and his work with our team. And I find he’s been really diplomatic other than that one comment.
For the record, I’ve been stoked about our team for awhile, now, and I understand that the most vocal fans, aside maybe from the ones roaring during games, are almost always negative. They might have less to complain about if the concerns about the fan experience are addressed by the organization, rather than… whatever this other tactic has been. Chastising the fans for not attending maybe isn’t technically been the plan, but it’s the message that’s been received.
