This episode was recorded across two occasions, with the first taking place at the Williams Racing headquarters just days after the now infamous Qatar Grand Prix, which saw Alex need medical attention due to the heat in the car. The second half was recorded in London when Alex returned from an early exit in Sao Paulo. This is the second half of that conversation.

The conversations cover Alex’s rise through the ranks of racing, and his struggles when he was dropped by Red Bull, electing to stay with the team and improve the car for his teammates. Alex opens up on the learnings he has taken through difficult periods in his career and his personal life, which he believes have enabled him to develop the mental resilience needed to become a champion.

  1. Great interview, it would be very good to get George Russell on again. Since your last conversation he’s won a race (Brazil 22) and he’s grown in his position at Mercedes

  2. Please go back to Red Bull at the end of the year. They can use you very well and you can show everyone you are the Real Deal and get redemption. Go Alex!!!

  3. One of the most respected men on the grid. Bravo Alex, it’s been great watching you excel at Williams and we wish you all future success wherever you end up.

  4. I can listen to Alex all day. He is not only a driver but a smart driver. I wish he’ll get his wins and him being a TP one day could be possible.

  5. It's amazing how a driver's confidence and happiness is improved by having Latifi and Sargeant as your teammates for 2 years. But glad he's finding a good place to develop as an F1 driver without the pressure of being in a team that revolves around Max.

  6. Alex is a amazing driver and very talented but he is Mr Nice guy. You need to be a bit of a Alpha Dog in the shark tank that is F1 or you will be walked over and made a number 2. If he can toughen up and be a team leader he may be a champion

  7. Yet again, so many nuggets of wisdom in Alex. Essential listening. His struggles, and his ability to overcome them can be applied to any career.

  8. Nice people never make it in F1. Lil Lewie is a Narcissist and MAX an intimidator. Those types always win although lol Lewie is done for as will always be nailed by SUPER MAX.Ta
