Between Two Ferns CBJ: Kent Johnson Interview

I am a huge fan of the tv show Between Two Ferns and thought it would be hilarious if we got to see similar style interviews with players.

First up – Kent Johnson

1. It is widely known that you were the first player to report Mike Babcock for going through your phone. How did your teammates react knowing you are a snitch?

2. Earlier this year when you were sent down to the minors, is it true you cried?

3. With the way you constantly lose puck battles, do you think there is anyone softer on the team than you?

4. How do you feel about your nickname ‘Nancy Johnson’? Does it get in your head when opposing teams call you it?

5. How does it feel to have the worst hair on the team? Are you trying to model it after someone?

I will be downvoted heavily for this but I find this type of humor hilarious.

Who should I create interview questions for next? Let’s hear some ideas.

What is Between Two Ferns?

Horrible idea. I like the between two ferns stuff but doing it on young hockey players who aren’t having the best season is a recipe for disaster.

  2. If you’re into this kinda humor there’s a “blue jackets” podcast that makes fun of players mental health I’m sure you’d love.

Man you’re going to tank your karma fast with this one. I think that the funnier parts would be the responses. And, really, the target shouldn’t be an easy one. Hell make it Olivier for the first one.

“Is it true they’re mostly paying you to sit around and eat pop corn most games?” Galifianakis

“Looks like you’ve been eating all the pop corn bud” Olivier

“Do you think you’ll ever score in the NHL or is your goal only to be a minor inconvenience while the other team wins?” Galifianakis

“Minor inconvenience? You’re talking to someone about being a minor inconvenience?” Olivier

And, of course, Olivier would challenge Zach to a fight to end it while Zach scrambles away yelping.

  4. This isn’t comedy this is hack humor. Coming off as a hater rather than a comedian
