Rosenzweig leads IceDogs to victory
IceDogs’ netminder Josh Rosenzweig was a beast in the crease making 41 saves on Friday and 32 on Sunday on top of a shootout, leading Niagara to a two-win weekend as they secured their sixth victory in their last ten games played. San Jose Sharks prospect Danil Gushchin also scored his 38th and 39th goals of the season, giving him points in eight straight games.
The Spirit stay hot
The Saginaw Spirit remain hot as the end of the season approaches, winning four of their last five games. Andrew Oke backstopped the Spirit to a two-win week as they defeated the Soo on Tuesday, and Sarnia on Saturday. Mitchell Smith built off a strong week with goals in each game, including the game winner with his second goal of the night on Saturday. Saginaw improves to 22 wins this season.
Playoff push continues
It was an exciting week in the League as Owen Sound, Ottawa, Oshawa and Guelph all clinched a spot in the OHL Playoffs. The Reigning OHL champions defeated Flint 5-1 on Saturday as the Storm make their big return to the stage. Three spots remain open for grabs heading into the second-last week of regular season action.
