Boys refused to lose tonight and overcame a Vezina level performance from Swayman. Good fucking shit
Knights lost in OT, Blues got hosed by Wings, and Flames up 2-0 already on the Oilers. This might turn out to be the best hockey Saturday in a while.
somehow we still first in the nhl even 4 straight loss and boston had 3 straight OT before this game…..

Was a 100% sure we were getting goalied when a puck was redirected off a skate and found its way into Swayman’s immobile glove and he was like, “OOP! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? THE PUCK??? HUH??? I mean… yeah, I did that… Look everyone, I have the puck in my gluuuuve…”
The 3rd period was chef’s kiss but man, the PDO gods are not happy and wants some sacrificial blood, sweat and tears on their altar.
One thing I absolutely loved about the OT goal:
It was the Lotto line, and the original PP configuration with Boeser net front and Miller skating downhill onto a Hughes pass.
Why can’t we just go back to that?
Millsy has been insane these last few games. That’s a guy that wants to win.
Now that was the kind of effort this team’s been missing

Hoglander was great on the boards tonight. You think he’s been stripped of the puck and he comes up with it again. Looked good on line 1.
Hopefully that OT goal makes them realize that’s the spot Miller should be on the PP. That play with him swinging high and getting dished the puck with speed opens up so many options. Lethal shot, shot pass to Boeser for the tip, seem pass to Petey for the one timer or drop pass to Hughes for a one timer. Glad it was proved it works so hopefully they go back to that configuration

After this game Canucks have the 14th hardest schedule for opponents P% according to Tankathon, they were top 5 just last week.
And this doesn’t even take into consideration they now have an easier travel schedule and most home games
Canucks management are listening to calls on Peterson. Hopefully just a pressure tactic

Canucks stuck with it. Instead of waiting for opportunities to pounce on, they finally looked hungry to make them in the third and OT.

Random fun fact: in the 7-6 OT win over Colorado in Petey’s rookie season, 3/5 of the Avs’ goal scorers (Dries, Cole, Zadorov) are now Canucks.
You guys can thank me, I watched all of their 4 straight losses until the final whistle, but I turned this game off after the 2nd period.
I know we probably won’t hear anything until the season ends as prescribed, but I want a Petey signature before the playoffs. Put the issue to bed, pay the man and head into the post-season with a wet sail.

I thought we looked pretty good all night, but swaymen played well and ultimately boston cashed in on a couple of their chances where we didnt through 40.
Demko deserves most of the credit for this win as he kept us in it in the biggest way.
Great to see this team finally get some results for their work in the 3rd – they certainly earned the win tonight, and what a win it is to snap the recent losing streak. Will be flying high after this one!

That third period was maybe the Canucks best period of the season, especially considering who they were playing.
Absolute domination shift after shift. What a comeback and happy they got the W. they earned that one.
Petey not signing is the strangest thing. He wants to win. This team is first place in the entire league. What the fuck?
Was not expecting us to pull this one off at first based on the first 2 periods. We are so back now !
