I love Kaner. I couldn’t be happier seeing him wear the winged wheel. Stay with us Kane. Need to give other wing players credit, Kane isn’t carrying them but he’s definitely pushing them to another level lately.

He is loved and missed in Chicago, and it would be amazing to see him play with Connor Bedard. But Kane and Toews and Keith, Hossa, Sharp, Hjarlmarsson, Seabrook, Shaw, Bolland…Quennville as the coach… all of the team, had a good run and it was so exciting to watch them play.
Red wings have 5 guys with cups on the roster. Young players have plenty of veterans to learn from. Not to mention the other former players involved with the organization.
comparing Matthews to Kane is tough. As great as matthews is, he doesnt seem to have the same flare all game that Kane has. Kane is out there ripping making insane plays, controlling the flow, his quick shot, dangles, and passes are very hard for anyone to read and he does it all at a high speed. Matthews, for the most part is amazing at finding a seam and burrying his chances. Aside from this, he doesnt stand out in any other regard more than Kane. Its obvious why Kane has 3 cups, and Matthews will be lucky to get 1.
Kane is the reason wings are winning??? Umm no. He is one aspect of four balanced scoring lines.

Still unreal to me that Kaner is in a Wings jersey now. Especially in a year where it’s likely they’ll break the playoff drought since the streak ended.

Grew up a Red Wings fan from the 90s/2000s, hated any Chicago sports team as a Detroit native but Patrick Kane was always one of my favorite players to watch. Never would’ve imagined this 10 or so years past. But I was the minority of people pretty excited about the signing. Hope Yzerman extends him. Done nothing but make our offense better.
