PHLY Flyers Postgame: Can Scott Laughton’s Flyers complete 3rd period comeback in Pittsburgh?

In a wacky back-and-forth game, the Flyers had a shot to rebound after Saturday’s loss to the Rangers but unfortunately, Cal Petersen was in net for the orange and black, making the task THAT MUCH more difficult. Already missing Travis Konecny, Philly lost Jamie Drysdale to an apparent left shoulder injury, and Tyson Foerster also left after taking a shot to the knee-area, but came back shortly after. Charlie & Bill break down the action, as well as how the injuries could impact the Flyers’ Trade Deadline strategy.

  1. Cal petersons stats for the game 7ga 781save% omg.lso i was not impressed with frost at all .forester Tippett sanhiem and Laughton played good.

  2. Guys I’m going to be honest here
I play goalie so do flyers need a emergency goalie
I can make 2 of those saves for sure

    Go get Steve mason

  3. At least part of the responsibility for this loss is Tortorella's choice of goalies this weekend. With the way the Rangers are playing, you could have expected a loss in that game. On the other hand, the Penguins were totally beatable. Torts should know better… He should have started Petersen on Saturday against the Rangers, because that was going to probably be a loss anyway. Then he could have started Errson against the Pens and we would have won this one. (And there go the guys mentioning it just now as I watch…) Tortorlla blew this one. You can't worry about the "message you're sending" to the team, when the reality is that you probably CAN'T beat the Rangers (at least on a regular basis. This was a good effort by the team today, if you exclude Petersen. He was God awful! Let's hope Drysdale is ok. let's go Flyers and let's go Gene Hart.

  4. We can't rely on Peterson for any help. Need to find a solution to this problem, and fast. Too many teams nipping at our heels.
