  1. Simple fix. LTIR from the middle of February onward, not eligible for miraculous recoveries in time for playoffs. Tampa used it great effect.

  2. They just have to change the rule that the team active roster is under the cap for the playoffs . If they made the trade they know they can potentially have guys sitting out… not necessarily bad cause they just have extra depth.

  3. People don't seem to understand that the reason why this rule doesn't apply to the playoffs is because players don't get paid in the playoffs unlike the regular season where they do

  4. no one thinks vgk is happy stone has a lacerated spleen. some people think stone doesn't actually have a lacerated spleen.

  5. lets be serious…… vegas has been playing awfull since eichelt got injured..and with stone out too…..the whole momentum is lost for the knights….add to that the constant injuries of ther various defense players….it s a miracle where vegas is standing in the playoffs……but the tide can easily turn for the worse now….lost 3 consecutive home games and now off to 5 away games against very tough oppponents….this could get ugly…………………….having written this…..how can anybody with a normal brain fucntion believe that the knights are faking injuries and thus missing the playoffs…if they loose 4 of the next 5 away games the heat is on in vegas and looking at the upcoming playing schedule…the knights NEED stone and eichel as fast as possible or the playoffs are history this season
ps. I dont see any available player for a trade that would seriously improve the vegas game that could change the outcome of games in their favour….or i missed something that connor, draitsaidl, austin matthews, reinhart, kucherov, pastrank & co are seeking a trade to sincity.

  6. That’s hockey, really with his back problems he isn’t even suppose to be playing and making how much he does why is he, doesn’t he have enough money and injuries doesn’t make sense to me when they keep all these old players when there’s millions of younger players trying to advance to the NHL, keeping old injured already rich players is taking the opportunity away from younger prospects, their parents spend so much money for them to succeed. Time to start letting them

  7. First I've heard this faking an injury bs. Pretty sure ppl are po'd about the cap in the playoffs. NHL should make it to where you have to be cap compliant in the playoffs as well. Vegas was the best team bc of this last year. Looks like they'll be doing this again this year. But if you ain't cheatin, you ain't tryin.

  8. You think the pens are trading guentz..?
Whole video is null and void 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  9. IF he is really injured I wish him a speedy recovery but c'mon, this "injury" is just a way of opening cap space like they did last year and like Tampa did with Kucherov. Until the NHL enforces the salary cap into the playoffs, we will see more and more high dollar players "getting hurt" as the trade deadline approaches. Maybe my team (Winnipeg) should shut down Scheifele and Kyle Connor, open $15m in cap space, add Noah Hanafin and Guentzel with the new-found cap space, then watch Scheifs and Connor get healthy for game 1 of the playoffs?

  10. We’ve seen the lightning doing it when kucherov was out with his knee and Toronto has been doing it all year according to Reaves

  11. Not going to lie I despise Bettman$ golden pets. Hope the targets on their backs are really getting bigger & more teams make them pay dearly within the rules with hardnosed clean hockey that is marked by fairplay & good sportsmanship. Imo it's high time lost wages atoned for the odds always favoring a tilted house.😂

  12. Take smith back please. Pit accepts their 2nd back and another pick for holding him for you… just because you know he will be a good fit id hold outnfor a 3rd

  13. Was watching the game it’s a collar bone or shoulder dislocated he was holding it after he got totally DRILLED !

  14. Bruins did that last year. Everyone will be doing it eventually. Keep the cap through the playoff and the problems solved. Whoever left this loophole open are idiots.

  15. How dare he rupture his spleen in a season where theyre not guaranteed (or even likely at their current rate) to make the playoffs! Hes circumventing!

  16. Unpopular opinion, but fuck the cap. I'd rather see the prime bolts and aves stay together and duke it out with the teams that actually draft, develop, trade and sign properly then allow Calgary, or god forbid, Columbus get lucky a get a few scraps from the contenders when they have to retool. The hurricanes and the panthers aren't big teams but are well run organizations.

Bring in a luxury tax or bird rights, just something. I don't care about parity. This is hockey and not basketball, even the most lopsided playoff series realistically still have a decent chance for an upset.

  17. People who think a team will benefit with their stars out on IR are crazy. Hockey players NEED to play to stay sharp.
