Going from 25 pts in 68 games last year to 51 in 54 is very impressive.

Also, is Owen Beck supppsed to move to Laval next year or will he stay in juniors?

Wow Xhekaj is doing even better than Pezzetta did in the OHL

  4. I’m more interested in watching Flo without the puck. He doesn’t disappoint. Covers an awful lot of ground with his skating and long reach. Makes solid reads, cares about his defensive role. I counted 3 plays where he neutralized a scoring chance. Having that part of his game figured out will help him get ice time and coaches’ patience at higher levels.

He’s still growing into his body, so not as fluid in his overall movements as a smaller guy; but there’s a lot of promises for him at center. 6’4 centers with long reaches who can skate well and are involved in all 3 zones are hard to come by. I hope the Habs stick with it and don’t move him to the wing just to fast-track him to the NHL because they want his physicality sooner rather than later. Take the time to mold him into a C, because he has the tools to be a valuable one.

Beck is Beck. When he uses his speed off the puck to dive-bomb into open spaces, he’s a dangerous forward with Brayden Point vibes. It’s just a matter of doing it on a more regular basis.

These two guys might be our #3 and #4 centers down the line.
