Romanov high sticks Lindgren, scores seconds later – deemed a follow through

Alexander Romanov was wide open to score on a deflected loose puck. That’s because instead of being in front of the net trying to stop Romanov, Ryan Lindgren was in the corner trying to stop his face from leaking. Romanov caught Lindgren with a high stick but it was correctly ruled to have been on a follow through from a pass (negating a high sticking penalty in the NHL rulebook).

  1. Dirty play regardless….. If Trouba did that there would be a mob of fishstick fans wanting his head…😊😂😅😮

  2. What wristshot has a shoulder height follow through? None. Maybe not a penalty according to the rules, but dirty nonetheless.

  3. I never knew of this rule, its always taught to us you have to be in control of your stick at all times, unless someone literally grabs your stick
