  2. you mentioned the tkachuk rumour in ottawa. he's a ppg calibre player so him and say chychrun and a pick. the combined salary of the 2 is the same as what they are willing to pay pettersson. pay big or go home.

  3. Nothingburger. Media probably doesn't have much really but this kind of thing generates clicks. At worst, could be opposing teams trying to sabotage Vancouver's negotiations with Petey. Even though it's already been stated both sides are in no hurry but want to figure something out. Petey will sign in Vancouver. And people will go look for something else to worry about. Like if Demko and DeSmith both performing well means we have another goalie "controversy"!

  4. With all the media driven drama in Vancouver, of course other teams would call. The team should be preparing for a playoff push but instead the media thinks it's productive to create a negative distraction. Typical.

  5. Be cautious Vancouver fans!! That’s a guy I would want no part of paying him big money. The Bruins have shown interest in him, no thank you!! I’m not an expert on the guy but I see him between 6-8 million a year in that ballpark. You can miss me with all that 12 million a year talk. Dude ain’t on that level in my opinion.

  6. Of course other teams are calling he is a star player I question whether he is a team guy , starting to think we should consider trading him for maximum offers

  7. Pettersson can't wait to get away from the SN 650 moron and the rest of the local clowns asking stupid questions, not that hard to understand really

  8. Nothing against Petey, if we sign him for more than 11, we won't have enough for Joshua, Hronek, and all these other guys. Also, watching him play, I can't understand why people would pay him for more than 9.5 anyways?

  9. I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about.
The Nordiques traded Lindros to the Flyers for Forsberg, Ricci, Duchesne, Hextall, and multiple draft picks. Huge win for Nordiques/Avalanche.
Wendel Clarke to Quebec for Mats Sundin.
Joe Nieuwendyk to Dallas for Jarome Iginla.

  10. Literally just media creating buzz about nothing. Petty wants to sign but wants to focus on this season. Plenty of time to sign after, JR and allvin agree

  11. I am swedish, I have followed Pettersson for a long time Before he got to Vancouver. It's because of Pettersson that I have grown to love Vancouver Canucks. I hope he will stay. I know some people are critical of him right now, because of how he is playing, he has a little slump, but I think he is still doing the little extra in the games. He got a good IQ.
It must be a little frustrating with all the changes in the lineups. He needs a Boeser and a Miller to play with.

  12. The reality is if Petty does not sign by draft day he should be traded for assets and sign Lindholm instead. They should probably do this anyway as they are entering OEL cap hell for the next three years especially. He disappears for long stints. Great when he's on but 12 mil per?????

  13. Yeah, if they give you the call, you say no intent to trade….đŸ€” unless you want to massively mortgage your future – you into that? Tkachuk and 3 first rounders? (I did say massive 😂😂)

  14. I don’t think a back to back 100 point player that’s 25 years old that’s a top 10 player in the league has been traded in recent memory, I don’t think anyone really knows what he’s value would be.
