A few things:
I can't take you seriously as a playoff team when you lose back to back games vs division rivals, when you don't have an NHL caliber backup that can't stop a beach ball, when a guy like Marc Staal keeps getting in the lineup (despite the injuries he shouldn't see the ice).
Also, your newly minted captain needs to play better period.
Where was Zamula on Sunday? Was he injured or a healthy scratch?
I think when I have guys out of the lineup and injuries in the game .YOU PLAY THE BEST GOALIE .OR REPLACE IN THE GAME FFS… division rivals no points disgusting
TK clearly was missed …. and of course, a certain no longer mentioned goalie! 😢 😢
TK and Joel have same thing in common. Both trams suck without them. This team is cooked. People keep going on about Peterson we'll there fking PP is a embrassment and thats why they arent making playoffs
Positives:
– They played hard all weekend.
– Foerster looked great and BATTLED.
– We can play with and above the Rangers – I think you take that effort every time, even if not the result.
– Loving that Karlsson trade, Pitt will be rebuilding for forever and still is barely a playoff team.
Negatives:
– Drysdale goes down, and it looked bad.
– Zamula scratched for Stall vs. Pitt is…. interesting.
– Tippet had 10 shot against Rangers (!) and…. 1 against the Penguins??? In back to back games where we lose by 1, Tipps has to put at least one of those shots into the net somehow.
– Cal Peterson does not look like he belongs in the NHL and if we want to make a playoff run it seems like we will have to acquire a goalie.
