Not that I’m surprised by the result in the slightest, but it’s still frustrating to be dropping points to division opponents at this time of year. This road trip is not going well, and it’s going to get worse on Thursday.
This is just not a playoff team guys.

My hopes were low going in, but then I got sucked in. We had so many games we deserved to win but didn’t. Maybe for once we could win one we didn’t deserve. It’s only fair right?

I say we go for a full dgaf mode now. Give kids like Clarke and Turc way more minutes. Let go of Kaliyev and Roy. Draft a good d man and forward, and move on to next season. That shooting % is horrendous and Moore looks absolutely checked out. Idk how they can improve anything now

They played maybe a 15 minute game. Lucky to even have a shot in the 3rd.
Bottom 6 is a mess with Kempe, Grundstrom, and Arvy out. Kaliyev looks like he forgot how to play hockey and JAD is limited to begin with. At least Turc looked good. PL is inconsistent shift to shift again.

I think this is just a lost season. Team has a lot more problems than we thought and now the injury bug is upon us.

If I had a nickel for every time the LA Kings lost 2-4 to an Alberta team I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

Too injured. Too tired. Showed a little life in the second.
This is four lackluster games in a row: NASH (L), ANH (OTW), EDM (L), CGY (L). And all three of the losses really have a playoff impact.
I fucking hate the Northwest Canada trips, even in good years they suck.
Start giving the kids some more playing time with all the recent injuries happening
No surprise here. This game was over last night.
Simply not a good team and once again showing they fucked it all up rushing a rebuild artificially and hoping they could make up for it on the fly.
Roy could easily get a 1st+ and now you get to play Clarke and Spence. Trade him. Trade other pending FAs for what you can get (Lizotte, JAD, Tonka, Arvi, etc) because none of those guys have long-term roles here. Play the kids, do what should have been done the last few years and let them have a chance to prove themselves.
Then get new management in the offseason to sign Byfield/Spence, bring in an actual #1 goalie, and implement a culture fix/some element of toughness

Honestly I don’t think Hiller’s system is much better than what we had. I have to agree with other comments that this is a wildcard team and nothing more. Kempe’s injury is likely significant as he was sent back to Los Angeles, which I am assuming possible fracture or deep bone bruise. All in all trade what we got if we make the postseason ensure we are looking at needs not wants at this point to better this team. Maybe a buyout could happen as well. I’m ready for the Dodgers start, tired of wondering what team will take the ice.
