Some charts on Tanev. He’s a defensive D-man who is apparently unforecheckable. This guy gets pucks and exits zones. Basically, if you’ve enjoyed watching Dallas spend a ton of time in their own zone, you’re gonna hate this guy.

He a top four defenseman who isn’t just good defensively, he’s excellent at transition, which is something the Stars lack.
And, he also plays hockey.

Flames fans here. Y’all in for a treat, he is just a defensively excellent player who lays it all on the line. You just feel safe when he’s out there, he controls the flow so well. Helps along younger dmen so well. Tanev, Kylington and Hughes all found their next level with Tanev as a safety net. Also the health thing is overblown, I think dude played 89% of the games in his 4 year contract with us. I would love to see him get a cup.
Very excited to see us NOT stuck in our own zone a large portion of the game.
