  1. Back-to-back must-win games for the Kings, and they lose both of them.

Missing two top six forwards and a top pair defenseman obviously doesn't make it any easier to win, but it also doesn't excuse the Kings. Good teams overcome critical injuries, and if the Kings can't find a way to do that, then they won't have any shot at the playoffs.

This team has the roster to contend for a Stanley Cup. I truly believe that, and they showed that they could be a top team in the league over the first couple of months of the season. Right now though, it's a coaching problem. I believe Hiller is doing his best, but sadly, his best isn't good enough. There's a reason he's never been the head honcho in his coaching career until now.

Since his debut as head coach, Hiller has constantly juggled the lines. Partially due to in-game injuries, but mostly because of this "mentality" he has, which is that anyone can play with anyone. Which isn't entirely wrong, as anyone SHOULD be able to play with any other player, but you can't expect them to build chemistry or get into a groove if every single game they're playing multiple shifts with varying line combinations. Every now and then is fine. You know, here and there, after a penalty kill or power play situation, or when someone gets injured mid-game perhaps, but not over a full 60 minutes. It's no surprise that this team has lost 3 of their last 4 games, when they can only score 7 goals over that span.

Overall, they're 6-4 under Hiller's tenure, with 25 goals for, and 28 goals against. Winning 6 of 10 is okay, but they're not scoring enough, and 3 of the 4 losses they had were must-win games.

L.A. plays Vancouver next, which they haven't been all that good against in recent years, and with how good Vancouver is this season, I'm sure the results this year won't be much different. I hope Hiller can eventually do good by this team, but I'm doubtful. Ultimately, Rob Blake is the one to blame. He gave up on this season the moment he allowed Hiller to assume the role of head coach.

  2. Wow there was 5 ex and current flames goalies in town tonight! Markstrom, Vladar, Rittich, Talbot, and Miikka!

  3. Calgary once again benefactors of another Edmonton sloppy 2nd opponent on a back to back. Glad we could beat them up for you before they step on your ice. In this regard who cares. Oilers remain all alone in 3rd. Go Oilers!

  4. Кузменко играет или нет за весь обзор не разу не видел его на площадке.

  5. This team is ridiculous, how do they not have more points? They can beat good teams but then they lose enough road games to stay in the basement? Lol weird team

  6. Never have I seen a player with the size of PLD get out-muscled and pushed around as much as he does. Interestingly enough, the whole team's strategy and positioning has been altered to compensate for his gliding around and lack of grit when he is on the ice. Fine bit of coaching strategy in that regard but just scratch him already. Bailey skates faster and hits harder than he does.

  7. Mikael Backlund and the Calgary Flames win over Anze Kopitar and the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 in their Pacific Division matchup 🏒🔴🟡🇨🇦🔥

Calgary Flames went up to 29-25-5, while the Los Angeles Kings dropped to 29-19-10
